Dunno. But the language for Section 1402 (g) (1) has been in the bill for a looonnnngggg time, and it has no explanation. I happened on something a few days ago, and things clicked for me. With my background, there are some things I know well; this kind of stuff I wish I didn’t.

Yeah, I remember seeing that. The calendar might be needed to legally define Islamic holidays. I speculate that a Muslim provider employed by Uncle Sam might be excused for not providing services on Muslim holidays. I would expect a definition of the Jewish calendar to appear or be referenced too. It is not needed to define the Gregorian calendar because that is our standard reference calendar.
