IRS To Become Obama's Health Gestapo

File this under 'you never thought it would happen in America.'

The Senate healthcare bill that is scheduled to be 'deemed as passed' by the House of Representatives Sunday afternoon, H.R. 3590, mandates the Internel Revenue Service as the enforcement arm of Barack Obama's dictate that all Americans be covered by health insurance.

The IRS will be empowered to check every month to ensure that every American meets Obama's dictated health insurance standards.

The IRS is also empowered to levy fines on those not in compliance. Under existing federal law, refusal to follow the rules of the IRS can lead to imprisonment--or worse.

An analysis released yesterday by Republicans on the House Ways and Means Committee estimates that 16,500 IRS agents will need to be hired to meet the expanded authority granted the IRS.

The nine page .PDF document details how the IRS will become the new overlord of the American people. A new section of the IRS code, 5000A, would be created by the bill. Americans would be required to maintain insurance deemed acceptable by the secretaries of the Treasury and Health and Human Services. Failure to do so would result in enforcement fines levied by the IRS in the hundreds or thousands of dollars depending on the income of the offender. The fines would be known as the Indivdiual Mandate Tax. The report adds that the IRS could add interest and penalties for failure to pay the IMT.

Health insurance providers would be required to file reports with the IRS on each individual they insure. The IRS would be able to share confidential taxpayer information with Health and Human Services.

According to the report, exemptions to the IMT dictate would be granted by Obama to approved groups and individuals for the following reasons: religious conscience, members of a health care sharing ministry, those below the poverty line, members of Indian tribes, incarcerated individuals and illegal aliens.

Under this bill, every American would be forced to answer to Barack Obama. If they fail to submit to his will, they will be fined, imprisoned or worse.

You know, I gotta tell you, the fact alone that Senators Snowe and Collins aren’t going along with what the Dems are pulling should tell you something.

It’s just so wrong.

HCR isn’t wrong, tyrannical is the right word.

And these ladies haven’t forgotten that it was tyranny that the founders fought.

The left collectively gets a big ol’ stiffy when they think about the idea of government force being used against their political/ideological opponents.

I guess my copies of The Poor Man's James Bond and Uncle Ragnar's Guide to Improvised Explosive Devices are not just for enertainment anymore. Life under the tyranny that is likely to be imposed on us is not worth living anymore so what is there left to lose? I have said before I WILL not participate in any of their stupid programs and they are welcomed to come after me. I have not killed anyone in a really long and have been all twitchy over that fact for awhile. I would welcome some much desired relief.

I can only hope that the loses imposed on the IRS are high enough to give them pause. I remember watching the ATF assault on David Koresch's compound. Koresch may have been a kook, asshat and pedophile but damn it was statisfying watching those Feds get their asses handed to them. I hope that scene is repeated time and time again should this pass.

>Hang the Democrats from lamp posts in November (metaphorically speaking).

Why metaphorically? Why not literally? It would serve as a much more potent warning to would-by tyrants. As one state’s motto says: “Sic Semper Tyrannis”

While I agree this move from Obama is outrageous. Think about social security....the IRS control now.... being fined if you lapse in auto insurance...

We have been the frog in the slow boiling pot and have failed to really see they fired up the pot years ago.

Look, why doesnt the GOP just come out with a firm statement that if this bill is passed, the moment they are in power again (almost certainly this year), they will immediately REPEAL it?

Well, like the poster said a couple days ago about the Education Department buying shotguns, those specs on those shotguns are specific. They are specific to match the other ones that they already have.

It is time for war..

It is a shame us Americans have only seemed to awaken for the final act of complete government control.

Even the types that you refer to can be trained to be effective thugs.

Only one reason the department of education needs weapons of any sort -

to take kids from homeschooling families.

Well with armed FBI and ATF agents by their side, what chance do we have against them?

Secession?
