In the final hours of negotiation, Walz said he is working with Mayo Clinic on trying to get some of House language aimed at reforming the Medicare payment system into the reconciliation language. Mayo Clinic has been pushing for provisions that would change how providers are reimbursed so that it is based on quality of care instead of volume of care.
Under the Senate bill, the payment reform provisions only apply to providers. He said Mayo Clinic wants to see that expanded to include hospitals, which was included in the House bill.
Walz said these sorts of provisions in the health care bill will help reduce costs in the long term.
"People need to be very clear not doing anything on health care will add to the national debt," he said.
Mayo Clinic Health Policy Center spokesman Randy Schubring said the clinic is working with lawmakers to get payment reform language included in the final bill. He said the clinic will offer its analysis of the bill once the final language is available.

And only the Senate bill now applies. Will Walz disappoint Mayo Clinic? Keep up the great work Patriots!!!
Walz can’t do squat for Mayo then... except vote no.

Not news that he’s supporting. But if we’re looking for good news, I’d be very happy to be able to categorize him as “wobbly.”
There are lawyers in Chicago who have conspired together with faux patients to trip up Mayo ~ which has NO FACILITIES IN ILLINOIS, so they can sue them for millions in damages.
You can find stories about their effots on the internet. It's pretty nasty stuff, but so typical of that crowd ~ and obama is their boy.
With 46% of Doctors quiting if this bill passes, Walz district in Rochester Mn will be a dismal economy for a huge part of S.E. Minnesota
“People need to be very clear not doing anything on health care will add to the national debt”
And doing something as stupid as this will bankrupt the country.
If they change provisions on how payments are made to now be expanded to include hospitals, the CBO analysis is officially useless.
Exactly..and Mayo should tell hi they aren’t fooled/
“He said the clinic will offer its analysis of the bill once the final language is available.”
Huh?
Yep, 72 hours, and 48 of them are on the week-end, and they don’t like the Senate bill
This entire matter has been infuriating to watch.
It has nothing to do with “Health care” or “Reform”. It’s all about increasing revenues to the government, because we are insolvent, and it’s about increasing the control of government over our personal lives, while using their special interests to do it!
It MUST be stopped!
You are the ONLY other poster that I've seen today that truly understands what this is all about.
Keep shouting it from the rooftops.
Most guesstimates are that the House is about half no on the question and that’s WITH the ability to amend the Senate bill. Wouldn’t it be funny if tomorrow that half called for a filibuster?
We all saw it. It was a power and revenue grab.
Unlike the good old days when old media covered for Democrats, the truth has been called play-by-play, I’d hope enough folks caught on...
Because you just got to KNOW that the tax-starved Obamunists are not just going to let the jillions of dollars they collect on the front end leading up to Obamacare sit in a safe. They are going to raid it like Social Security was raided, leaving the upcoming GOP government holding the bag.
Mayo clinic practically endorsed PBOcare:

Are our representative in Congress really this stupid or is this just their lousy argument for a naked power grab?
