At least that Nancy fears deeply that there will be too many defectors, Rats who chicken out with November heavily on their minds.

Or, that, disgusted with her, some Rats join the GOP in asking for a filibuster, an actual debate filibuster.

Is there any reason why Stupak or any of his crowd should trust Obama's word on anything?

If they are indeed serious on the abortion issue, Stupak et al will not seek cover behind a spurious (and likely temporary) executive order issued by the Liar-in-Chief.

“”The effort was part of a hurried campaign by House leaders on Saturday to persuade a pivotal bloc of antiabortion Democrats to support far-reaching health insurance reforms. “”

And it tells me that they LIE when they say it’s not in the bill....

Even IF Obama promised to issue exec order, future Presidents can rescind that order. Even IF Obama issued exec order, it mIGHT not withstand a lawsuit challenging its legality since it goes against settled case law on the issue. I saw a good letter about this from a law professor somewhere today. will try to locate

I don’t think so. I think Stupak and company are dying to vote for this bill.
