WaPo Cheapens 'Code Red' Anti-ObamaCare Rally with 'Hundreds'
Newsbusters ^ | March 20, 2010 | Jeff Poor

Is The Washington Post playing favorites with causes that inspire people to exercise their First Amendment rights and take to the streets to protest? When it comes to opposition to Democratic efforts to reform health care versus opposition to wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, it appears so.

In a March 20 Washington Post story headlined "Obama delivers plea to 'help us fix this system,'" Ben Pershing, Paul Kane and Lori Montgomery suggested House Democrats were gaining momentum in their pursuit of the 216 votes needed to pass health care reform legislation, despite "hundreds" of "tea party" protesters rallying outside the U.S. Capitol. (h/t Amanda Carpenter)

"Outside the Capitol, hundreds of 'tea party' protesters rallied against the legislation, jeering Democratic lawmakers as they passed and holding signs reading 'We'll Remember in November' and 'Revolution,' Pershing, Kane and Montgomery wrote.

When I left the house this morning and they (Foxnews) were showing the pictures of the protesters (Code Red & Tea Party people), it appeared to be thousands, many thousands!

Well, this is very consistent. The 9/12 Tea Party was Tens of thousands, which turned out to be several 100 thousand.

Just take the Hundreds and multiply by the normal WaPo 2 decimal point lies.

Everyone knows this, they're prejudiced, ya Know ? They Lie, and so does Obama, and so do the Democrats.

CBS mentioned the rally in D.C. and the one in NY.

Mentioned only the anti-war rallies.

Par for the course with lefties. When the Iraq war started, McDermott (my Congressmoron) addressed a crowd at Seattle Center which the now-defunct Seattle PI described as "tens of thousands".

Having lived across the street from Seattle Center for 12 years I had become something of an expert on crowd sizes there, and knew there were no more than 500 people.

Of course, I was completely ignored by the PI when I drew their attention to this fact.

From what one of the Republican Congressmen testifying before the Rules Committee said, those inside the building could sure hear the chants from the patriots outside. That tells me there were more than hundreds.

Anyway, we got there around 12:10 and went right up. They announced there were 25,000 people there and not the BS 2,000 that was on MSNBC. Anyway, people kept trickling in over time and with in a half hour it grew noticeably bigger. I would guess 40,000 or so would be a very safe assumption. As always the people were great, no messes but there was not as much joking around as I have experienced in the past.... Seemed like everyone was there for business and no more playing. All in all it was an excellent turnout for only a few days notice.

This just shows why the MSM is cratering. Totally biasd and no sense of journalistic integrity. Washington Post is among the very worst.

“All in all it was an excellent turnout for only a few days notice.”

Agree. Amazing turnout. Everyone we talked to were getting ready for next month’s event.

For us to win in the long run, and preserve (and ultimately restore) liberty for ourselves and our posterity, we must embrace proper federalism that removes 2 essential powers from the practical government(the States):

1: The powers to control the borders in term of immigration most of all.
2: The Power to control the currency and thus inflation.

The reason is that theses 2 powers are actually only the powers of imprisonment and deception respectively. There can be no good that comes form the utilization of theses powers in a democratic system in a domestic capacity. They must be totally separate from any Democratic controlled government’s ability to weld.

The reasons being they are among the most significance powers of tyranny of the majority and economic deception of the majority respectively. In other words they are among THE most key powers that corrupt a democracy into a tyranny and ultimately oligarchy.

In our System of Federalism established by our founders they removed theses 2 critical powers from our States and instead enforced their removal and held them by the severely limited Federal government in hopes that such a Government would not be inclined to uses them except as was absolute necessary to preserve all of the states collectively from outside threats.

Our Federal Constitutional government was not designed to protect liberty from such easily exploitable (and economically valuable) powers that the same Federal Government was never suppose to be welding in the first place!

So of course its going to break down, and be subject to unmanageable corruption. Just because something works relatively well in SMALLER and more European type government systems of practically unlimited powers, doesn’t mean it will work in our large Federal Constitutional republican government of very few finite, and cautiously controlled powers.

Theses are very different animals! Theirs is an omnivore, ours is a specialist made specificity to operate most safely and effectively only in a very finite nitch of responsibility and powers.

We have State and Local governments for all the other functions of government which you might find either desirable or necessary. We never needed the federal government doing theses things and we never would because we do have State and local government.

If it can be done effectively at all it can be done at that level, otherwise your just fooling yourself.

There can be no legitimate economic uses of the excursively federal powers in the implementation of any economic program. They are only the powers of economic deception(inflation) and imprisonment(borders). Robing the people of their democratic choice both in knowledge(of operational effeminacy of government program) and in practical individual freedom(the right to leave or engage in alternatives).
This is why theses specific powers are federal and not state, and thus belong to a government that WAS forbidden from having any such inherently economically and politically exploitable functions domesticity.

in other news.... ;)

“Thousands of protesters — many directing their anger squarely at President Barack Obama — marched through the nation’s capital Saturday to urge immediate withdrawal of troops from Iraq and Afghanistan.

At least eight people, including activist Cindy Sheehan, were arrested by U.S. Park Police at the end of the march, after laying coffins at a fence outside the White House. Friday marked the seventh anniversary of the U.S.-led invasion of Iraq.

“Arrest that war criminal!” Sheehan shouted outside the White House before her arrest, referring to Obama.”...

The lefties, the moonbats, the asshat media and the nobasmites want you to think you are alone...that you are misguided...that you are a moron. The opposite is true. You are not alone, not misguided and you are intelligently informed. Resist! Resist! Resist! In your heart you know what you need to do.

SSDD

And SOP

Listening to the news on KCBS yesterday and they said in their little blurbs at the top of the hour that there were anti-war rallies in many cities across the nation.

Nothing about all the Kill The Bill rallies all over the country. Not one word

Not unexpected

Heck, O’Reilly pushed a count of the 9-12 rally with well over a million people there as 60,000
