Two things in our favor. More taxes and more unemployment. The economy is headed into the crapper big time.

“We need to attack this bill on as many fronts as we can, and we need to ignore whiners whenever possible.”

Agreed. We have most of the public with us, as it turns out...and Generic Congressional ballot bears that out.

This time is different because the US wasn't flat broke and fighting to survive when previous, smaller atrocities were committed.

We ain't in Kansas anymore, Toto!

People!!!

The key to defeating the tyranny that is seated in the Congress, Senate, and Executive of the United States is for "We, the People" to get a quick and thorough understanding of the principles underlying our own Constitution's provisions and protections.

Nothing else will do! Talk won't suffice. Arguments against this or that bill or effort in the Congress or by the Executive Branch won't do.

Understanding and articulating the underlying principles and then coordinating efforts to defeat violations of those principles is the beginning of a return to what Jefferson called the "only path to peace, liberty, and safety."

Fortunately, there are many sites providing quick and easy access to the necessary information. The Liberty Fund has a library which contains original documents, speeches, and writings. One Congressional Candidate has a web site which is a marvelous resource for literally hundreds of documents, books, e-books, and original writings. It is here. Then, there is Mark Levin's "Liberty and Tyranny," and Stedman & Lewis's "Our Ageless Constitution." That 292-page book is a treasury of information and documents, including 25 illustrated and easy-to-read essays, each page explaining a principle underlying the Constitution. These may be used for learning and teaching the ideas, using the Founders' own words.

The tyrants who now control Washington are not intellectually equipped to combat the geniuses who formed and framed the United States Constitution. They think they are smart, intellectual, and "progressive." The truth is they are only petty tyrants, pseudointellectuals, and get by with their actions only because America's citizens have not been taught the ideas of liberty. When confronted with those ideas, the counterfeit and "regressive" ideas of the Clintons, Obamas, Reids, Pelosis, and all the others can and will be exposed.

The Republican Congress can and should send a repeal bill to Obama to make him veto it.

And if they somehow take control of the Senate (long shot, but not so long after yesterday) They should cram it into a budget reconciliation, then simply refer to that goose and gander thing.

[but I don’t see any kind of rational analysis saying that we’re going to be taking over the Senate and the House...]

We don’t know yet. I just got an estimate from insiders that there might be thirty thousand at the Searchlight event. If those numbers happen, then game on!

With all due respect to Bob Dole he was not a strong campaigner. Also the level of anger at Obama is rising faster than with Clinton. Clinton tried to hide what he really was Obama doesn’t.

I deem that fine idea!

Can you share a link to the Searchlight event?

Do you know what I noticed today. The guy running against Stupak and the Texas AG Abbott have supporters from all over the country. This is amazing. Even though I know I have work to do in my own State, I am ready to lend my support to another State or opponent of this mess we have now. Everyone is doing this. Someone from PA sent a nice message to Greg Abbott that he had their support too! I see this snowballing into something that rats and libs won’t see coming because they don’t believe it exists...TRUE PATRIOTISM! I feel like I am living back in revolutionary times. :)))))))

Tea Parties didn’t even exist in the glimmer of someone’s eye in 1994 - 1996.

No, but there was real revolution in the air.

After a two week cross country trip in 1994, I was so stunned by what I heard from clerks and people that I met, that I spent three days in my house when I returned, trying to figure out if I was imagining things.

After three days I drove to a British friends house and told him that we were going to have a revolution, he asked me if I meant a violent one and I told him no, that Americans don't swing that way (today), that it will be in the election, and we did have a massive electoral revolution at every level, state houses, Governors, the Congress and Senate, even Mayors.

“My biggest fear is a repeat of 1994 and 1996. The Republicans take over the House and Senate, the voters forget why they were disgusted with the Democrats, and two years later Obama gets re-elected.”

That’s a possibility, but there is one slight difference. Clinton just wanted to be president. He really didn’t have any principles, so it wasn’t much of a sacrifice for him to move back to the center & go along with the crowd somewhat.

Obama will never give up his ideology. So we need to take any & every opportunity to slow him down. There’s nothing more dangerous than an arrogant idiot...unless that arrogant idiot has a congress full of more arrogant idiots.

“...and we did have a massive electoral revolution at every level, state houses, Governors, the Congress and Senate, even Mayors.”

Yes, it was beautiful to behold. It was hugh and series. :) However, it didn’t prevail in 1996 nor 2000 (really) as ‘business as usual’ returned to the GOP. The failure of the R party to deal with weasel-ly, unprincipled RINOs is epic on these boards.

And what has this wrought us? We are now, our backs against the wall, massively in debt, involved in wars without and within. Big Government chewing through our tradition and Constitutional foundations like some kind of diamond studded drill. A massive socialist bill rammed though on the Christian day of worship. A mockery in so many ways, cackling in our faces, beckoning us to submit and quit the fight.

We need heroic measures now. We need to jam up that drill, we need to throw the monkey wrench of freedom into the gears and shut down this massive federal behemouth, or we will be consumed in its path.

We need heroes now.

Like this off-site meeting of congressional democrats?

This is VERY inspiring - and I think it’s how Brownie won, and how Rubio and Toomey and Hayworth will win...one seat, one district, one city, one town, one state at a time.

Oh RATS - we’re comin’ for you. There is NO place to hide!
