Dear Fellow Conservative:
After months of backroom deals, political payoffs, and strong-arm tactics, President Obama and the Democrats have forced the health care bill through Congress. The bill passed the House of Representatives tonight by a vote of 219 to 212.
House Democrats also passed a separate "reconciliation" bill that includes minor changes, but its fate in the Senate will not stop the President from signing the health care takeover later this week.
We've lost the battle over this bill, but the war for health care freedom has just begun.
If you're willing to join me in the fight to save freedom, we can settle the score in November by electing true conservatives who will repeal this unconstitutional and dangerous bill.
The simple truth is the bill cannot be fixed. It must be repealed.
This is why the Senate Conservatives Fund is launching a national "Repeal ObamaCare Pledge" to rally support for conservative candidates who vow to repeal President Obama's health care takeover. The pledge reads as follows:
"I hereby pledge to support with my time, money, and vote only those candidates who vow to repeal President Obama's health care takeover."
America is teetering toward tyranny and we must work together to reverse the radical agenda in Washington that is being used to march our country off a cliff.
Electing just any Republican is not the answer. We've seen what happens when we send Republicans to Washington who don't truly believe in the principles of freedom. We end up with a Democrat-controlled Congress and a Democrat in the White House.
Instead, we must help true conservatives who love the Constitution and who will fight to repeal ObamaCare.
The Senate Conservatives Fund has endorsed four Senate candidates for the 2010 elections --- Pat Toomey (R-Pennsylvania), Marco Rubio (R-Florida), Chuck DeVore (R-California), and Michael Williams (R-Texas). These candidates have all pledged to repeal ObamaCare and they're all rock-solid conservatives who will fight to defend liberty.
Please sign the "Repeal ObamaCare Pledge" and encourage your friends to do the same. Together, we can repeal ObamaCare and win the fight for our nation's freedom.
Sincerely,
Jim DeMint United States Senator Chairman, Senate Conservatives Fund
P.S. Please sign the "Repeal ObamaCare Pledge" so we can settle the score in November and repeal President Obama's health care takeover.

Sorry folks but these on-line petitions just don’t work and mean nothing.
The only petitions that work are actual hand signed with an address of the person that signed so it can be verified and has and end game requiring a petition... i.e you need so many signatures to get something on a ballot etc.
Can anyone name one law or legislation that has been repealed by an on-line petition?
Signing this says: “I hereby pledge to support with my time, money, and vote only those candidates who vow to repeal President Obama’s health care takeover.”
This isn’t a petition anyway it’s a pledge of support, to get you on an email list by state so they can request $$. I don’t need to sign anything to support something.
Please forward to 20 of your closest friends, don’t break the cycle or you’ll end up a liberal.. (sarc)
Democrats just hand delivered another winning issue to us. Pro-life and Pro-Repeal will become the two main issues in coming elections.
Where is JD Hayworth’s endorsement?
This cannot be repealed as long as B.O. or any other Democrat sits in the White House.
This isnt a petition anyway its a pledge of support, to get you on an email list by state so they can request $$. I dont need to sign anything to support something.
In your zeal to be a defeatist loser, you seem to miss your own point. First you complain that petitions do nothing. I agree.
Then you go on to say that this is not really a petition, but an attempt to get you on a list so they can ask for money. That's why it is more effective than a petition. If you are going to pledge to support the repeal movement, they are going to need your dollars. I think this "pledge of support" is far more effective than a regular petition with worthless signatures.
Vowing to vote to repeal is a political winner in November, but it’s really meaningless. Even if such a repeal were to win in both houses of Congress, there wont be enough votes to override a presidential veto. We’re stuck with it ‘till 2013.
It will never be repealed.
Modified perhaps, but never repealed.
Good point. How long can the congress and senate hold onto a bill they have passed before sending it on to the president? I'm just wondering if they could pass the bill but wait until after Obama is removed from office to send it for signature...so it could be done on the first day of the new president's term.
True. However, it takes organization to win, and you have to funnel your time and money to the right places. DeMint is a good funnel.
“It will never be repealed.
Modified perhaps, but never repealed.”
Was prohibition repealed?
An entire host of entitlement programs need to be repealed. We just can’t afford them.
So are we stuck with all of them, never to be repealed? Is the slippery slope to socialism too slippery to ever climb back up?
“Where is JD Hayworths endorsement?”
We should lobby them for it!
Yes.
Prohibition wasn't an entitlement program.
“This cannot be repealed as long as B.O. or any other Democrat sits in the White House.”
Marching orders.
This will nationalize the 2010 election.
But, at the same time, you must pressure your state legislatures to assert states’ rights,
and your state AG to pursue the court challenge.
