Time to play schoolyard rules.
Who wrote this crap? There was no private property vandalized. It was public property.
I cant believe Im in the minority in agreeing with Bob here. If we believe in freedom of speech and property rights, we have to respect them even when they belong to Democrats. You, Bob, myself, and the late great Frank Chodorov:
The question, for those who hold freedom as the highest ideal, is not the ideas [espoused] . . . but the power [sought]. Let them rant their heads off---that is their right, which we cannot afford to infringe---but let us keep from them the political means of depriving everybody else of the same right.Further recommended reading: Nat Hentoff, Free Speech for Me, but Not for Thee.
If there comes a point where elections are eliminated — as Rush Limbaugh stated he believed was possible — then it is time to throw bricks and shoot bullets.
Btt
The more CS Lewis I read, the more I realize he’s friggen’ awesome.
My first thoughts as well. Mobs of colonists didn’t merely throw bricks at windows, but tore down houses in their entirety. The difference, however, is that this incident was not done publicly, which, I would hope, true scions of the sons of liberty would do.
Wonder what charges the DHS would bring agains Sam’l Adams & co. Apparently, protest after the colonies unified is not allowed, having been contracted away by the agreement of the states to unite.
The writer is doomed to slavery. He fears life and cherishes security. he is absolutely doomed.
He is a wimp who must not be tolerated
