Everytime Dimocraps say that health care is a right, it should be countered somewhere tenfold. If we let this declaration of a “right” go unchallenged, it will become fact in the eyes of the public. We should counter with “welfare healthcare” which is what it is.
If so, why did not the framers add it to the Constitution? Were there not people who needed some kind of care that couldn’t afford it back then?
If the USSC doesn’t strike this garbage down, we the people will have to.
We have a *right* to it so it justifies them FORCING it on everyone whether they want it or not under the threat of fines and enforcement by the IRS?
A right?? — which carries the penalty of a fine, or jail time? That’s a right??
“Every American has a right to healthcare.”
Every American... all 92%, according to this bill, has the right to buy it to avoid being fined/imprisoned.
Uh no. The Constitution does not say that health care is a right.
every American has a ‘right’ to PAY for healthcare
if what doodoo says were true... then every American also has a right to eat. therefore, food should be free to all Americans
So if I am standing in a room with a doctor, according to Dodd, I have the RIGHT to command that he service me with his skills. For free. It is my RIGHT.
And if I am standing in a room with a plumber, do I have no right to command that he fix my sink, for free? I only have the right to force someone to help me for free, if it’s my gall bladder, and not my showerhead??
Please elaborate, Senator Open Faced Sandwich.*

If someone has a right to a service, then someone has a duty to provide it, right? So: are doctors now your slaves, Chris? If I were a physician, I’d tell him: “Force me to treat you, you son of a bitch. Here’s the defibrillator. Good luck.”
And by that he means, every North American, Central American, and South American.
