The ObamaCare 'Acceptance' Strategy
The American Thinker ^ | March 24, 2010 | Richard J. Little

Posted on 03/24/2010 4:30:26 AM PDT by Scanian

There is a huge new public relations offensive being unleashed by the Democrats and their allies in the progressive left, one designed to limit their short term election losses and defeat any significant ObamaCare repeal efforts. It is imperative that all conservatives and opponents of government-run health care understand the Democrats' and progressive left's short-term political strategy so that we do not inadvertently aid them or fall victim to the new health care myths that they will be propagating.

The new plan is designed to accelerate the public through a mass analogue of the "seven stages of grief" (shock, denial, anger, etc.) and quickly get to "acceptance" of their federal government health care takeover and looming European-style, cradle-to-grave social welfare state.

The Democrat/progressive spin machine is going to mount a massive disinformation campaign with assistance from their surrogates in the MSM, unions, and "community groups" designed to change the subject. They are counting on getting you cooled down about the unconstitutional takeover of the health care system and usurpation of your personal freedom and individual liberty. And they will constantly hammer that this takeover is "the law of the land" that will "never be repealed" and must be accepted as a fait accompli. Anyone who disagrees with them will be portrayed as "dangerously angry" and a potential threat for "violence" in order to paint dissenters as "extremists".

Obama is going to hit the road this week. Yes, he will be selling the supposed "benefits" of taxpayer-funded and government-run health care. But mainly he and his surrogates will also be trying to "dispel fear and myths" in order to get you to "calm down" and accept your new transition from citizen to subject.

I’ve always been critical of the ‘progressive’ church of perpetual outrage. I don’t think we need to emote our position, like you said ‘facts will suffice’ the voters to action.
‘Progressives’ chant ‘jobs, jobs, jobs’ to get elected. Yet today Janet Yellen, Fed SanFran, says there will be ‘painfully’ high unemployment for the foreseeable future. The ‘progressive’ agenda is not conducive to job creation.

I never thought I would be entertaining thoughts about permanently moving from this country. My own and my wife’s age puts us in the group that Obama can eliminate by withholding care. If he can vote three times in the IL legislature to prevent care of a baby that has survived an abortion, he is capable of anything. Pelosi and Reid have the same mind set.

My anger will never dissipate, but I don’t know if enough Americans realize yet that they are living under fascism. And if they are able to manipulate the electoral process, Satan may stay in control.

Ditto. We must all remain vigilant to help correctly translate the "doublespeak" that will be spewed out by this regime in the coming months.

That’s EXACTLY what they will do. Health Care will be nothing but a confusing memory for them and they will go about their daily brainless activities.

Arm yourselves with the various pages of the bill that are most egregious. Make sure it's just a few pages (no more than 3 at a time) and highlight the parts you want people to see. Get them copied and hand them out at meetings.

The bill is way too big to just tell people to read the whole thing. Just make sure you keep changing the pages to get the most people educated about the things in this bill that matter most to us. Remember, the group in DC is used to appealing to the "gimmies" of this country, they have no understanding of how the American mind works.

The ObamaCare 'Acceptance' Strategy

This strategy in amazingly effective. Notice how people have resigned themselves to having a kenyan dictator in the White House.

This was much more the condition a few decades ago when alphabet networks and physical newspapers held an information monopoly. Now there is an internet that most people can easily get onto. The klutzy implementation of this legislation which had to start NOW (no time was allowed to analyze and tweak before the juggernaut starts to move) has already begun to bring grief to Medicare recipients and there are certainly more gotchas to surface. Conservative politicians will loudly announce all of this stuff and more in the newly freed speech of this campaign year. Democrats will have total egg on their face.

They learned to tolerate Obama as long as he didn’t actually do much but mouth off. This is PERSONAL.

Make sure the portion of the bill you take "matches" your audience.

Might not be known as “fascism” but now know that Obama and Democrats are clumsy bullies. Health care is PERSONAL. Not going to sit well at all.

Absolutely right. Make sure if you are talking to seniors you take the part about cutting medicare. Make sure the actual words are highlighted!

If you're talking to young people who are thrilled about being able to stay on their parents insurance, ask them what happens if their parents lose their jobs, then they get to join their parents in the government medicaid plan. Ask them how much their taxes are going to have to go up to cover all the people joining medicaid.

We need to be smart about this to prevent the anger from subsiding.

Tie every piece of legislation to Obama care. Not hard really, Cap n Tax needed to for the government to bring in more money to pay for its out of control spending including health care. Amnesty, Obama needs illegal’s money to add workers to the system despite the fact that most will immediately become free riders. Jobs, jobs, jobs while Obama mismanaged our healthcare, there are no jobs and grandma will begin losing benefits almost immediately as the tax revenues decline. Only in Obama’s Amerika will 9% unemployment and 400,000 new claims per month be considered good.

Organize local Tea Party Rally’s at various stages. Be careful not to overdo it, make the rallies fun to be at, food, music etc. Have a Rally in different areas of the State; make them accessible after a relatively short drives. Make rallies like a holiday with new like minded friends. Have a rally at or near State historical areas or during reenactments. Pick important dates; April 15th, May (May Day for the Communist Obama and his SEIU thugs), 4th of July to mourn the loss of liberty. August on Labor Day to mourn the loss of jobs under Obama and some point after 1 October 2010 when the sticker shock from new insurance premiums arrive in the mail. Rent vans to get grandma to the Tea Parties, hold summer Youth Rally’s. Pool some money and get a local popular band for an afternoon, you would be surprised how many youth and their parents will show up. Every State should hold one big rally before August and get Paul Ryan, or Newt or Palin someone to speak. End with one big rally in October, in DC.

Money, Money Money…I am waiting to see how the primaries pan out. Keeping my powder dry so to speak. I am between voting in Illinois or North Carolina, (retired Military, my choice) my district in Illinois is in danger of going Dem since Kirk has left it. Like him or not he was popular in the District. My NC district is solid Republican. But where I send money will depend where we have candidates that can win. If there is a strong candidate to oust Stupidpak, send him money, Tea Parties and political action committees should send out a list of who is running after the primaries, figure out where money is needed and let’s get our money to candidates that will win and stop the bleeding. Send $10 a month to organizations producing TV commercials targeting Dims that are vulnerable.

Partiers that want to put up their own candidates because they do not like the GOP, remember, the enemy of my enemy is my friend. Besides, historically third parties die when they try to go national before they get control of a few states. This is triage folks, stop the bleeding, clear the scum out of the air ways, stabilize the patient and then WE CLEAN HOUSE in 2012! Do not forget your AG and SoS are critical votes in this election, they will be certifying candidates in 2012. Grassroots, this is how it has to be done. If we come together, the SEIU and ACRON (an ACORN by any other name is still scum) cannot not match our manpower and money. Stay mad, but get focused, we need to control the purse strings.

I am gun decking here, throw some more ideas out to stop the Obama love train leaving DC this week. If he spends his tour preaching to the choir, he fails. We need ideas on a little civil disobedience, flags flying upside down, flood DC with emails and calls weekly, do we have a computer wiz that can help us make that easier. Do not buy any magazine or paper if they lead with Obama or have his arrogant a$$ as a picture on the cover. Tell GE to go to hell, buy a Ford, switch from Progressive or GEKO and do not join Phoenix U. Use Yahoo or another search engine; delete Google from your computer. Attack his money base and supporters spread the anger around a bit.

Whew done venting, now to get on with my day.

If your theory were correct, then MaObama would never have even been a Candidate. Considering all the Internet info about the real Obama and the constant blogging about his past and current ideology.

I hate to pop your bubble, but Amerika is too far gone to know what is real any more.

The worst of it doesn’t kick in until 2013, after Obama is “supposedly” safe re-elected. I don’t see what can be done to repeal any of it until then, other than is the GOP takes back the Congress, funding can be withheld.

Obama has the veto pen and you can bet he will use it.
