New research in the US suggests a large minority of Americans hold extreme opinions on president Barack Obama.
A poll by market research company Harris Interactive shows that not only do two in five Americans believe Obama is a "socialist", but one-third still believe he is Muslim.
A full 38 percent believe he is going to take away US citizens' right to hold arms; 29 percent that he wants to sell-out the US to a "one-world government"; 27 percent that he resents the country's heritage; and 23 percent that he is a racist and anti-American, alike. But this is just the tip of the iceberg.
Again, 23 percent of Americans believe he wants to use a terrorist attack or economic collapse to take "dictatorial powers"; one-fifth say he is doing "many of the things" that Adolf Hitler did; and 14 percent believe he is none other than the Anti-Christ. That's almost one in every seven.
Perhaps the least surprising discovery from the poll of 2320 adults across the US is that views on Obama closely reflect the respondent's political affiliation and education.
Republicans predictably view Obama less favourably than Democrats; but more tellingly, the less education a person has, the likely they are to agree with a negative statement about the president – in every single category polled, without exception.
Independent voters' views generally fall between the two extremes, whilst voters with post grad qualifications are in some cases four times more likely to side with Obama than those with only a high school education or less.
Poll respondents' answers were weighted to bring them into line with population demographics. Harris Interactive says because the selected respondents were chosen from a larger pool of participants, no mathematical margin of error can be inferred

I don’t know the details of the curriculum, but, my impression is that Gay studies teaches how there has been oppression, Women’s studies teaches about oppression, Black Studies teaches oppression, etc.
So I can see that little real thought or academic inquiry happens in these fields. If the groups are said to be oppressed, and all their problems are due to oppression, then there’s not much else to say.
It’s laughable that some still talk about women as a minority group in higher education, when women now receive 57% of bachelor’s degrees.

Most of my college professors were liberals. They couldn’t find a job on the outside so they teach that Capitalism is a “mean” system.
Ummmm...the more people that hold these views,the less extreme they are.
Its not like they are denying the sun comes up in the east or some verifiable “fact” they are opinions and as such are NOT “extreme”. In another month the view that they are extreme will be extreme.

At the rally last September I met many, many very highly intelligent people (much more than me) who were spitting mad at what Mr. Obama was doing to our nation. Real estate people, CPAs, computer scientists, marketing executives, a nuclear engineer, and even a couple of media executives, are examples of the type of people I met from all over the country.
This stuff just doesn’t wash. Yeah, there are fringes on both sides, but my view is that the intelligence quotient is much, much higher on the conservative side. The leftists depend on their constituency to be uneducated or under-educated in order to control them.

I have two degrees .... big deal ... I love what I do for a living. Now, put me in charge of installing a new roof on a house. I assure you that by the time I am done, it’d look like a Flintstone house or something. I’d get frustrated and just throw a big rock on the top of your house. Hell, I regularly question my survival skills if the shit hit the fan.
I knew this auto mechanic that, if you were to chat with him, sounded “stupid”. The guy would almost become a different person when you’d start discussing cars.
In many fights with liberals while drinking at a bar in a relatively liberal part of town, I have been called “stupid and uneducated” more times than I care to admit. Of course, I play into that role just to see how vicious these people get. While the bartender herself was a flaming lib, she’d get the biggest kick out of the act I would put on to expose how stupid and brainwashed these idiots were. The bartender was one of the few libs I know that you could actually have a conversation with.
I swear, *educated* to these people is nothing more than the ability to regurgitate talking points found on the DNC website or MSNBC.
One time I asked some political know-it-all to name his Representative in the US House. He couldn’t come up with a real name. I had to inform him it was Tim Murphy. He claimed I was a liar and that he had never heard of him. I was certain he wanted to fight but didn’t have the balls to take so much as a limp-wristed swing at me. It didn’t help that I was making an ass out of him in from of his girlfriend.
