The Ready Reserve Corps of the US Public Health Service already existed under 42 USC 204.
What’s unusual about the amendment to it is that it converted all Reserve Officers serving on active duty as of the enactment date into Commissioned Officers of the Public Health Service, effectively being appointed as Commissioned Officers by legislative fiat rather than, as the law otherwise requires, appointed by the President with the Advice and Consent of the Senate.

The Judge said they would be medical professionals training with sidearms / the military.
Language is too vague...power to take over the National Guard in peace time. This is a constitutional confrontation.
He states there was no debate on the floor of the congress.
1. Military is only budgeted every year this supplies money for 4 yrs.
2. You won’t be able to retire if you are on active duty
3. National guard and physician you can’t retire unless the president lets you.
Congress has created this without debate authorized president to remove military personnel from the states or to create a new army have legitimate fear in my view.
We don’t know how this will be implemented. The language is vague. It could be military or non - military and still be consistent with the statute.
Where do you read they are doctors? I see them performing some health functions; however, they are also to be available to assist regular troops or to sub for them in times of other ‘national emergencies’.
Yep. Commissioned officers in the Reserve like Infantry, Field Artillery, Armor, etc, do not have the Surgeon Gen to answer to. Obama, Pelosi, and Reid are idiots.

The bill text as stated at the top of this thread, while referring to the Surgeon General as having command, does not mention anything about doctors.
It does mention similarities to the armed forces reserves.
