“This current season sucks. They needed to go in a new direction. Writing has gotten repetitive.”
They found the new direction: cancelled.
There are about 30+ subplots.
I gotta hand it to the writers and producers on how they churn it out day after day.
The production values are pretty decent on the HD.
Like i said though i only listen to it....
I would love to see Jack get elected to Congress and water board the libs.
Obama says CHANGE the channel.
But now we’ll never learn how it was really “teabaggers” (guffaw, kneeslap) who plotted this season’s terrorist strike.
Don’t worry-—Jack Beuer is coming back...to the BIG screen...that’s right “24” movie!!!
I have never watched it (ever) so I guess I won’t miss it much.
TT
I literally looked down or away when the ugly beast Barfalotto was on the screen. Worst season ever.
Oh well. Never really liked the show. A whole season to show a single
day.
I think you will really enjoy the early seasons. The moral dilemmas that are presented are fascinating.
That needs a bath.
Same should be said of any TV show. No matter how good a show, no show should run more than two or three seasons. Eventually ideas will be run out of, writing will get stale or the show will otherwise "jump the shark" for one reason or another.
There have been a few great original shows on TV over the past 20 years. X-Files, Sopranos, Mad Men, Deadwood, The Office, NYPD Blue, Lost.
All of them ran too long. They all went from being an original show to being a tired caricature of a show.
Shows run too long. Way too long.
