Jesus Christ To Call His Beloved Ones To Meet Him in the Clouds Very Soon - Perhaps This Year - 2010

(This is NEWS - Please Keep This in Breaking News, Admin Moderators. It is not about "religion". It is about Current Events!)

1 Thessalonians 4: 13 - 18:

But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus.

For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep.

For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first.

Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.

Therefore comfort one another with these words.

THE END was almost today, as I stepped from behind a parked car, into the path of a truck!

Sorry to break it to you; but Mary is DEAD; waiting in HER tomb for the trumpet sound; just like every other person who has died in Christ.

The Virgin Mother is not dead; she resides in heaven with her Son. She awaits all who Love her.

"Why even mention that the dead in Christ will rise first if it were an event that no one would know had happened?"

To tell us that it would happen, otherwise we wouldn't know. If you read the whole passage, instead of just that verse, you'll see that Paul is reassuring the believers about the fate of their loved ones who had already died.

You have chosen to avoid the point I was making. Of course Paul was reassuring the believers as you have stated. What he was also doing was pointing out an order of events so that the readers of his epistles would not be deceived. By naming the resurrection of the dead in Christ as preceding the rapture of living saints, Paul was intending to destroy any false notion that the rapture could happen without the resurrection happening first.

Yet despite Paul's obvious intention, many pre-tribbers are acting like nothing else needs to happen before the rapture. How do they get around Paul's sequence of events? They claim that the resurrection preceding the rapture will be totally invisible and unknown! If that were true, then Paul would not have needed to mention it.

Pre-tribbers make a big deal about Jesus not wanting Mary to touch Him, and ignore His later being seen, touched, and seen eating food. Surely the first Person to embrace Jesus after His resurrection was God the Father. Mary would have to wait for her hug.

Your point doesn’t make sense. It’s not that I *chose* to avoid it, it doesn’t exist.

What’s even the point of the rapture if the resurrection occurs first? By the time the tribulation is over, Christ will have returned and wouldn’t need to gather His church up in the air at all, because He’d already be on earth.

Not to mention that virtually everyone who was a believer would have been killed already.

Your *reasoning* (for lack of a better term) in the interpretation of that passage just doesn’t hold any water. There’s no logic or sense to it at all.

Which is likely why nobody but you believes it.

Huh? Many will be beheaded for their faith and their refusal to receive the mark. It doesn't follow that virtually everyone will be. This is why Jesus said that if those days were not cut short for the sake of the elect, no one would survive.

It doesn’t go to follow that those who survive are believers.

No doubt there’s a chance some could if they went into hiding, but nothing in Scripture indicates that those who survive the Tribulation, except the Jews, are necessarily believers.

The elect are the believers. Remember that Jesus was talking to his followers, those he had chosen, the elect, and answering their questions about the end of the age and his return. He was specifically addressing what would happen to them as believers in their stand for him through the time leading up to and through the tribulation, not to what would happen to the general Jewish population. The distinction that everyone in Matthew 24 that he was talking to were not the Church but Jews is yet another poisonous fruit of dispensationalist rationalizing of the scriptures to fit a preconceived idea.

I guess the Apostle JOHN just missed seeing her in the Book of Revelation.

So; when in time did THIS teaching enter Catholicism?

Hah! You just ridiculed the teaching of Paul! It was Paul, not me, who taught that the resurrection of the dead in Christ precedes the rapture of the living!

Wow. Did your angels step in and protect you?

The angels are very active right now as they should be expected to be right before Jesus returns for HIs Bride and then during the Great Tribulation and before He comes as the Lion of the Tribe of Judah to set up His Kingdom rule on this earth.

The Angels are ministering spirits who are here for those who belong to Jesus, to help us, assist us, protect us, bring people along our path we need to have there and take out of our path those who do not need to be there.

And to do a few other things related to Jesus’ return!

Awesome that you were not hit by that truck - if that actually happened.

We had a friend/neighbor who had a tornoado “explode” over her house last night but it did not touch down!!! (If it had she and her husband would likely be dead today).

Prayers for all reading and posting on this thread that all the angels of heaven will be hovering around, before, and behind us, doing all that is needed to protect us so we will not be destroyed but will live to see the coming of the Lord Jesus which is so very soon!

Amen!

The thing that has impressed me lately is that this time is all joy! All peace! All worry free!

Jesus meant it when He said that we are not to be anxious about anything - but in everything with thanksgiving to give Him our prayers and concerns and worries and He will take care of everything!

It is all joy! As the day approaches. My prayer is that all who read this thread will turn to Jesus for salvation, for new life, to be washed in the River of the cleansing flow of HIs precious blood shed for us on Calvary - but still flowing deep and powerful to cleanse us of ALL, ALL, ALL, that pollutes us and leads to our destruction.

I would that all would come to this “river”, to drink deeply of It, to jump in and let His love wash over us, to carry us every moment of every day until He comes and sweeps uus all up to the clouds to be with Him!

Thank you for all your good posts and reponses to so many today. They were too many for me to keep up with in the worklurk mode but I knew you were doing a wonderful job of responding with wisdom and truth.

If you or others want to really be blessed as we await that trumpet sound - go and get the Gaither Homecoming CD from South Africa!

These Homecoming videos are all awesome but this one is just the best I have ever heard. Songs to sing as we get ready for that great gettin up morning when we say, “Fare thee well.”

I thought I could post more but sleep has overtaken me so will try to come back here tomorrow.

The skies were full of His Angels and His Presence tonight by the way...hope others were “looking up.”

“I have a book: 88 reasons it will be in 1988”

Here’s 220 dates for “the end of the world”

http://www.bible.ca/pre-date-setters.htm

I like this one:

“The Jehovah’s Witnesses made sure in 1984 that no one else would be able to top their record of most wrong doomsday predictions. The Witnesses record is currently holding at nine. The years are: 1874, 1878, 1881, 1910, 1914, 1918, 1925, 1975, and 1984. Lately, the JW’s are claiming they’re out of the prediction business, but it’s hard to teach an old dog new tricks. They’ll be back.”

This is why Jesus said that if those days were not cut short for the sake of the elect, no one would survive.
________________________________________________

Nope that’s not what Jesus said...

As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. “Tell us,” they said, “when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?” Matthew 24:3

Jesus answered: “Watch out that no one deceives you. For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many. You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come.

Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains.

Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but he who stands firm to the end will be saved.

And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.

So when you see standing in the holy place ‘the abomination that causes desolation,’ spoken of through the prophet Daniel—let the reader understand—then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. Let no one on the roof of his house go down to take anything out of the house. Let no one in the field go back to get his cloak. How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers!

Pray that your flight will not take place in winter or on the Sabbath. For then there will be great distress, unequaled from the beginning of the world until now—and never to be equaled again. If those days had not been cut short, no one would survive, but for the sake of the elect those days will be shortened.

At that time if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or, ‘There he is!’ do not believe it. For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and miracles to deceive even the elect—if that were possible.

See, I have told you ahead of time. So if anyone tells you, ‘There he is, out in the desert,’ do not go out; or, ‘Here he is, in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it. For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. Wherever there is a carcass, there the vultures will gather.

Immediately after the distress of those days “’the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from the sky, and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.’ At that time the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and all the nations of the earth will mourn. They will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky, with power and great glory. And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.

Now learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near. Even so, when you see all these things, you know that it is near, right at the door. tell you the truth, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened. Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.

No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.

Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left. the field; one will be taken and the other left. Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come.

But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into. So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.

Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom the master has put in charge of the servants in his household to give them their food at the proper time? It will be good for that servant whose master finds him doing so when he returns. tell you the truth, he will put him in charge of all his possessions. But suppose that servant is wicked and says to himself, ‘My master is staying away a long time,’ and he then begins to beat his fellow servants and to eat and drink with drunkards. The master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he is not aware of. He will cut him to pieces and assign him a place with the hypocrites, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

At that time the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. Five of them were foolish and five were wise. The foolish ones took their lamps but did not take any oil with them. The wise, however, took oil in jars along with their lamps. The bridegroom was a long time in coming, and they all became drowsy and fell asleep. At midnight the cry rang out: ‘Here’s the bridegroom! Come out to meet him!’ Then all the virgins woke up and trimmed their lamps. The foolish ones said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil; our lamps are going out.’ ‘No,’ they replied, ‘there may not be enough for both us and you. Instead, go to those who sell oil and buy some for yourselves.’ But while they were on their way to buy the oil, the bridegroom arrived. The virgins who were ready went in with him to the wedding banquet. And the door was shut. Later the others also came. ‘Sir! Sir!’ they said. ‘Open the door for us!’ But he replied, ‘I tell you the truth, I don’t know you.’ Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day or the hour.” Matthew 24:4-51, 25:1-13

And He went on...

One continuous thought...
