1 Thessalonians 4: 13 - 18:
But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus.
For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep.
For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first.
Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.
Therefore comfort one another with these words.
Jesus is speaking to all who dwell on the earth in many different (and somewhat “new”) ways today in order to reach the all the whosoevers possible - BEFORE HE RETURNS FOR HIS CHURCH (THE BRIDE OF CHRIST - HIS CHURCH)!
He is speaking through His Word of course.
But also through:
The Clouds (Look UP!)
Through Archaeology (Noah’s Ark To Be Discovered Very Soon)
Through Science (The Key to Aging Has Been Discovered)
Through What is Happening in Churches, In Businesses, in Homes, Neighorhoods, Cities, States, Nations, Countries
Through what is happening in Nature: Earthquakes, Storms, Floods, Tsunami Waves, The Snows, Lightning, Fire, Animals including the beloved kind and the pest kind
Through His Angels who are very very active in the world today
Through the Outpouring of His Holy Spirit as foretold in Joel 2 during which young men and women and old men and women shall dream dreams and see visions
And in many many more ways - in every way possible to draw every person - to draw you - unto Himself - now - in time - before He comes in the clouds so very soon!
I don’t have a clue what you mean by that.
Yes indeed - our HOPE is CERTAIN!
Except for the pesky details of things that need to be in place for prophecy to be fulfilled, that weren’t in those days.
But in those days, they didn’t have that kind of verification or knowledge of events.
All of scripture is about Jesus - and His role in the History of this World - including and especially His plan for the end of history - He is the Alpha and the Omega.
The ending of world history is upon us!
He will deliver His beloveds from the horrors of the time of God’s Wrath which will break upon this earth very very soon.
He says His Church, His beloveds, are NOT appointed unto God’s Wrath -neither the wrath of Hell or the wrath of the time of the Great and Terrible Tribulation time which will begin very very soon!
I happen to take things metaphorically. Living in Jesus is a continuous process. It’s not an ‘event’ (oh, the dreaded e-word...).
There is always the possibility of Armageddon; not at any specific point in time, but simply: every second of our lives, and in the lives of our descendenta.
It can be: an electromagnetic storm that ruins the internet, and electricity. We are so dependent...
A virus.
A meteorite clash.
And: a man-made catastrophe.
Things look pretty grim at the moment. But there is no reason for despair for those who believe in Jesus. We won’t back down. Or sink into decadence and depravity.
There are many people who show their real faces when there’s a sense of the End Time.
These real faces are not nice. They are satanic. Unbridled lust, sexual depravity, massive drug ingestion, senseless violence: see Sodom and Gomorro. An eternal possibility.
But according to Christ, hope will prevail, and goodness wil win in the end.

OK, I read that entire post and have one question. Why do the scholars believe the terminal generation began in the 1948?
Also, I also study the Bible. Many commentators say the Greek word “generation” (”genea”) cited in Matthew 24: 34, can translate to more generalized the English word “race,” “family,” “(eg. Ryrie study Bible). If that is so, Jesus was saying these things would happen before the Jewish people passed away.
No we are NOT to know the DAY or the HOUR!
But we ARE to KNOW the SEASON.
Matthew 24 - Jesus was very critical of those who claim to be able to tell the signs of upcoming weather but who ignore the very signs of His soon return!
When we see the fig tree begin to blossom, we know the SEASON of Spring is very near.
When we see the signs of the time begin to happen (and these signs are all around us like the fast increasing birth pains of a woman about to give birth) then we are to KNOW the time of His Return is VERY near!
Why would we assume that?
Could be. Who know?

WE are to rejoice that our names are written in the Lamb’s book of Life - because the Lamb of God is about to come back - and when He comes as the Lion of the Tribe of Judah, we want our Name to be written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.
Because when that book is Opened - we know we will be with Him forever and we also know that we will not have to go through the Great White Throne Judgement which is ONLY for those whose names are NOT found in the Lamb’s book of Life!
Let’s pray that every single person possible will have their name written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.

I think Israel will attack Iran soon. Since Russia is assisting Iran in her rebuilding, Russia or Gog/Magog will be included. I think this up coming battle will fulfull Ezekiel 38. The aftermath of this battle will necessitate a peace treaty like the 7-year one mentioned in the Bible.
It is strange how God has protected Iran in growing in this stature over the last 3 decades. While other nations like Iraq were getting attacked, Iran was allowed to grow despite its obvious intentions to attack Israel. God may have protected Iran so it could grow in order to fulfull scripture.
It's got to do with Israel becoming a nation in their homeland again. A generation in Scripture can be 40, 70, or 120 years. The 40 year generation mark has passed. The 70 year generation mark is imminent. The 120 year generation mark leaves us another 50 years.
But the way things are going and the political situations that are now in existence, dono't indicate that we have that much time left.

It's a slight difference, but my understanding is that the Jewish nation will not pass away.
I know of many who believe 2016 to be the year. What are your thoughts on this?
Personally, I think it’s best to live your life and just be ready. I’ve seen too many people living day to day and not planning for the future hoping they are not here to have to deal with it.
I am a saved Christian and believe in the Second Coming.

I would not be surprised to see the Lord Jesus Christ “speak” very clearly today in events of the day - adding to His invitation to anybody, everybody, everywhere - to come to Him! NOW!
This one is EASY!
Since we'd divided the world up into TIME ZONES for our clocks, there are at least 24 DIFFERENT 'hours' and 2 DAYS in existance, RIGHT NOW, on any place on earth.
So unless we'd ALL use UTM (which we don't) it is scientifically IMPOSSIBLE to know the day or hour.
