Yup. We’ve been hearing that for the last 2000 years.

OH my!

I just learned recently that Jesus spoke about Hell more than anyone else in the New Testament!!!

I do believe He knows the Truth about it, don’t you?

If it was something Jesus warned about, I believe it is something we can also use to warn others about.

I know this. Jesus came and lived and died and rose again so that whosoever will turn to Him will be SAVED FROM ETERNAL HELL!

Their names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.

Jesus told his disciples when, after they came back from going two by two into the towns there, casting out demons and healing diseases in all those towns - that while it is understandable to be happy about all that happening (and all that is happening TODAY as well) - it is much more a cause of Joy to know our names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life!

And NOTHING that happens, nothing we do or say, no devil from hell can erase that name from His Book of Life!

Why did Jesus say this?

Because if our name is not in the Lamb’s book of Life, then we will stand at the Great White Throne Judgement spoken of in Revelation 20. And all who stand there will be given the sentence of eternal death in hell!

whew.

No one wants to be in that situation.

Jesus came to be sure all whosoevers who will shall escape hell.

Are you among them whose names are written in the Lamb’s book of Life? Then REJOICE and spread the warning - and the Joy!

Israel is the key to the “time” in which we live.

Just as we can watch the clouds, the events happening all around us, read the Word, we can watch Israel.

Through watching what is happening, has happened, to Israel we can know how soon is His appearing.

However, since tornadoes (tornados??) skipped thru Indianapolis about 6 years ago one did lots of damage to southern Indianapolis, and did jump over my daughters house with not much damage while houses two doors away got hit really hard.

I would that all would come to this “river”, to drink deeply of It, to jump in and let His love wash over us, to carry us every moment of every day until He comes and sweeps uus all up to the clouds to be with Him!

    Jake, the rancher, went one day
 To fix a distant fence.
 The wind was cold and gusty
 And the clouds rolled gray and dense.
 
 As he pounded the last staples in
 And gathered tools to go,
 The temperature had fallen,

 He felt a heavy heart.

 But when he saw Heaven, he was shocked -
 It looked just like Wyoming !
 
 Of all the saints in Heaven,
 His favorite was St. Peter . 
So they sat and talked a minute or two,
 Or maybe it was three.
 Nobody was keeping' score --
 In Heaven, time is free.
 
 'I've always heard,' Jake said to Pete ,
 'that God will answer prayer,
 But one time I asked for help,
 Well, he just plain wasn't there.'
 
 'Does God answer prayers of some,
 And ignore the prayers of others?
 That don't seem exactly square --
 I know all men are brothers.'
 
 'Or does he randomly reply,
 Without good rhyme or reason?
 Maybe, it's the time of day,
 The weather or the season.'
 
 'Now I ain't trying to act smart,
 It's just the way I feel.
 And I was wondering', could you tell me 
 What the heck's the deal?!'
 
 Peter listened very patiently
 And when Jake was done,
 There were smiles of recognition,
 And he said, 'So, you're the one!!'
 
 That day your truck, it wouldn't start,
 And you sent your prayer a flying,
 You gave us all a real bad time,
 With hundreds of us trying.'
 
 'A thousand angels rushed,
 To check the status of your file,
 But you know, Jake , we hadn't heard
 From you in quite a long while.'
 
 'And though all prayers are answered,
 And God ain't got no quota,
 He didn't recognize your voice,
 And started a truck in Minnesota'!

God bless you! NO, we are not to know the day or the hour. Literally. "....But we are to know the SEASON. Read Matthew 24, 25. Jesus gave a rebuke to those who say they can see the signs of upcoming weather, but they can’t see the signs of his upcoming return when they start taking place! Will love it when we can talk more about this after the Rapture....LOL......"

Yes, we can look at the signs of the times. Even if I knew, however, that the end was tomorrow....I would still plant my garden and apple trees today. I think that's the fundamental message that the Lord gives us concerning the grand scheme of things.

And since we can't know, by Divine Wisdom and decree, that the end "will be tomorrow", I think I'll go out and roto-till my tomato patch.

Absolutely true. We are told to be ready to give a defense for the hope within us AND we have the model of Paul, Peter and others speaking out about the truth. These two expressions are part and parcel of our life in Christ.

The difference I detect between this and the tone on the initial thread is whether one thinks a frenetic tone about the message (bordering on panic) is needed or whether we are called to a calm, deliberate disclosure of the truth.

Thanks for your excitement. I don’t know if 2010 is the year or not, but one thing I most certainly have noticed is that the Holy Spirit is working deep in the hearts of His beloved church. This is so exciting to see!

People are hungering for intimacy with the Lord in a way that I have not seen before.

All things are going to be shaken from their foundations, and this may start in the house of God first. This is a good thing, and we should not fear. We should not be disstressed at all the upheaval occurring around us. We need to stay in the Word and close to Him to keep our focus sharpened upon Him and not stressed out.

Yes Jesus is RESTORING everything - His Church, Homes, Marriages, Cities, States, Nations (our Nation), and especially the individual lives and health and circumstances and families in this nation and all over the world!

This truly is a YEAR OF RESTORATION!

And you are so right - we are NOT to be fearful or even anxious about all the events we see taking place every day.

We ARE to just relax and watch Jesus at work, his angels (our angels) at work, and rejoice in it all!

And we are even privileged to have a part it in all through our prayers for all our beloveds, for our businesses, our communities, our states, our nation, for israel, for the world....committing them ALL to the One who is Restoring all things! I pray for all who do not know Him to be saved to the uttermost!!! And He is graciously doing just that!

Amen. We witness to Jesus Christ before all men because God has determined that the preaching of the Gospel is the way and means of God, the Holy Spirit, reaching His children -- through the teaching of the written word of God.

All in all, a wonderful plan for redemption. His word endures. His word does not fail. His word convicts sinners and sanctifies His flock. His word realigns our minds from self-love to Christ alone.

The elect can also mean Israel.

Remember that according to Paul, we Gentiles are, through our faith, grafted against nature into the olive tree that is Israel and that there are Israelites who, because of lack of faith, are cut off from that root. And being part of Israel consists in becoming a son of Abraham through the same kind of faith that Abraham had who believed God and it was counted for him as righteousness. We who are Gentiles were excluded from the covenants of the promise, without hope and without God in the world. But Jesus broke down the division between Jew and Gentile in his own body and allowed us who were foreigners to become fellow citizens of God's people and members of God's household built on the foundation of the apostles and the prophets. This body of believers throughout time is the church, the body of Christ. As Paul said, in Christ there is no distinction between slave or free, Jew or Greek, male or female. All are one in Christ.
