Two female suicide bombers have blown themselves up aboard packed underground trains at the height of the rush hour in Moscow this morning, killing 38 people and leaving an estimated 65 injured, according to the Russian security service.

President Dimitri Medvedev is due to reassure the nation in a television address later today, pledging no let up in the war against terrorism and promising a security crackdown on public transport.

The first blast came at the Lubyanka station in central Moscow at around 8am (0400 GMT), killing 24 people. The station is deep below the headquarters of Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB), the successor to the Soviet-era KGB, and is just yards away from the Kremlin.

Around 45 minutes later the second explosion happened a 15 minute journey away at Park Kultury station, near Gorky Park, killing around 12. Both stations are situated on Moscow's busy Red underground line, or line number one.

Those Chechen Muzzies have carried out their own 7/7 style attack on the Moscow Metro.

Striking the Moscow Metro may be the Chechens' undoing, as the Russian Bear would hit back, hard.

They still had trains running 45 minutes after the first blast? Nice communication network they have there.

Don’t expect a measured response.
The Russians will take appropriate actions.

Glass a good chunk of Chechneya (with conventional weapons - most likely).

While I grieve for the innocents, it’s hard to have sympathy for this government when they cozy up to Iran. I guess some terrorist supporters are okay.

Soon after they get the fbi to round up all they can trump up charges on, they will begin setting off bomds over here.

This is some more of the “Change” that the traitors, parasires , fools, and idiots voted for on November 4, 2008.

Enjoy.

I agree. How's that snugglin' in bed with the Iranians working out for ya, Dmitri?

...CAIR et al better go underground.

It is time to locate their HQ, follow them home to see where they live, and be ready to retaliate when necessary before they can bug out. Oh, wait- they will have bugged out BEFORE the attacks as they will have sponsored them.

I guess you must have missed the news about the pre-emptive FBI raids on Christians with guns.

Hey!
Obama!

Its all about them being pissed off with Gitmo and Bush , right?

And you want to continue your outreach giving them more technology? You want Iran the number one purveyor of terrorism to go nuclear?

You should move there and be with your brothers.

Something must be wrong. At first I thought it must be those pesky Amish again but the article actually says they were probably moslems.

Then I looked again and found it was a British paper. That explains it I guess. Sometimes they print the truth over there. (Sure wish our papers would do so)

These women will be identified and their home towns will be wiped from the face of the earth. Simple as that.

Israel does the same on the house level. When a terrorist attacks Israel the home they come from is leveled.

Yes, I've seen that news item today. However, it seems very sketchy about the details. I want to know more about it before I make any definitive statements on it.

I don’t admire much about Russia but one thing I respect is their response to terror. They send a strongly worded letter via same-day missile courier delivery.

We will now get to see how a country that doesn’t care about the “World’s opinion” of them deals with terrorism.
