It’s natural that those unfamiliar with the university would think the name indicates much more of a religious orientation than it does. It’s like “Southern Methodist University,” on a smaller scale. The religious affiliation, in the present, is represented by the official Chaplain, and that’s about it.
When will we ever point out the obvious, this diploma did not suddenly appear in its current form just because this idiot walked across the platform, right? No. So, is it safe to say that the objection raised by this one individual is maybe a 'personal' objection to what has been an institution's historical and cultural practice?
If they cave on this, then why not anything that any student finds personally objectionable in the very education process itself? This is just getting ridiculous.
Go home A$$hole. We don’t want you. Get a education in your own $hithole country. Speak English.
Wait a minute. Something just occured to me. It probably already occured to others. Why is the stupid student worrying about ‘Year of the Lord’ appearing on the diploma when TRINITY will be emblazoned across the top it!!!
http://www.answering-islam.org/Shamoun/quran_trinity.htm
Your going to a school called Trinity! you moron!
Pardon my Islam!
The name of the school is next on their agenda.
Why are Muslim students going to “Trinity” University in the first place?
Yeah, but the point is, if he objects to the *Lord* part on his diploma because of its Christian references, what’s he doing going to a university with the name of *Trinity* on it?
What next? Strike that off, too?
University Student get more stupid every day.
They dont know that AD (Anno Domini) means the year of Our Lord?
That’s next on his list, no doubt.
The Gospel is considered Hate Speech.
Luke 21:17 You will be hated by all for my name's sake.
What is this idiot doing at Texas Christian University? Kick him out! If he doesn’t like The Year of Our Lord...don’t give him a diploma!!!
Frak’em and leave the words on there.....like they have long been.
1). The "In The Year Of Our Lord" refers to the Lord of the signatories to the diploma, not to the bigoted, child-killing caveman receiving it.
2). Even Muslim napkin-heads acknowledge that Jesus Christ lived, and that he was crucified. The year we use in writing the date is how many years have passed since Jesus' crucifixion. He's arguing against World History, not religion.
3). The few who object to the use of "In The Year Of Our Lord" should not be allowed to deprive the vast majority of the use of the symbols of our national heritage and belief structure. If it offends him, THEN GET THE F^#K OUT OF HERE, YOU B*TCHFACE NEANDERTHAL!
I wouldn't dream of going to Iran or Saudi Arabia and telling them to reform the social symbols of their national heritage to accomodate my personal comfort zone. The affrontery is his, not the University's, and his arrogance is staggering. He should be kicked out of court on his ignorant, prejudiced, presumptuous ass, tarred and feathered, publicly ridiculed in "the stocks", and then put on a boat back to "sand for dinner-land," where he belongs.
IMHO

My 18 year old daughter and I were driving through Syracuse recently and saw a billboard IN SPANISH.
You should have heard her opinion about that.
In a nutshell, she said she wouldn’t dream of going to another country and demanding that they accommodate her.
Ironic thing is, Americans are perceived as being rude and obnoxious for the very thing overseas that all these immigrants are doing here in our country, stuff like this and demanding bilingual everything.
You move to a different country, you accept the culture and language there. If you don’t like it. Leave.
If you don’t like our diplomas, please go to Eastern Cairo University, instead.
Then get some crayons, Hajji, and write your own d4mn diploma.
What is a Muslim doing at Trinity University? Im surprised he didnt sue to make them change the name.
&&&
That’s probably the next item on the agenda.
There is NO CO-EXISTING with Muslims. They are incompatible with the Western way of life. End of discussion.
