Little real news came out yesterday on this, but this quote caught my eye. I smell a really stupid action by the Feds.

--

"This is an example of radical and extremist fringe groups which can be found throughout our society," said Andrew Arena, FBI special agent in charge.

"The FBI takes such extremist groups seriously, especially those who would target innocent citizens and the law enforcement officers who protect the citizens of the United States."

--

For a brief sketch of Andrew Arena's background with the FBI see:

Who is Andrew Arena?: Secret To Success in the FBI

December 27, 2006

http://www.debbieschlussel.com/2798/who-is-andrew-arena-secret-to-success-in-the-fbi/

"Just ask Andrew G. Arena. The new FBI Special Agent in Charge in the heart of Islamic America–Michigan–got his new job that way. One of his closest associates told Detroit Newsistan fabricator David Shepardson:

Alhamdillullah, Abu Arena Has Made the Hajj to D-Mecca

“He knows all the aspects of the community,” noting his outreach with the Muslim community in Detroit and New York.

Yup, that’s “the community” to the FBI. Not you Infidels. Just the extremist Muslims who support terrorist groups like Hezbollah and HAMAS.

And, oh yeah, Arena is a Lions and Tigers fan, too, which everyone knows makes you a great law enforcement honcho. Right?

Alhamdillullah (praise Allah), Andrew Arena is here. What’s that brown on the end of his nose?

It is that Moslems get to decide what constitutes a dangerous extremist Christian militia that must be stopped by a flashy raid.

This group reminds me of Bill Ayer's (Obama's buddy) group, the Weather Underground and the bombing of police stations.

Search on these words: ayers obama weather underground precinct

This whole thing does not pass my smell test. Even now, there is a lot of discussion about what this group “intended” to do, and very little about what exactly they did to provoke this kind of response. That’s not acceptable.

If you have read the novel “Patriots”, it talks extensively about operations against Politicians, law enforcement and even the US Military. Having read that book, does that make me a “Christian extremist” as well??

If this group was training using a future potential scenario as the basis for a series of operational drills, is that a terrorist event?? There are a lot of people right here at FR who speculate about what to do if a new revolution came about, and whether local law enforcement would be friend or foe. Is that illegal too??

I smell a rat. A big fat rat, and it keeps it’s cheese at the US Justice Department. If you read these published reports with the slightest grain of salt, it is obvious that there are a lot of allegations here done up properly in nice, pretty, official sounding legalese, but in the end, exactly what did these people actually do that breaks the law?? Sedition in any form is about as serious a charge there is, so I want to know specifically and in detail what “seditious conspiracy” the FBI cooked up.

Exactly what crime was committed with a firearm? TV news is reporting this as if mere possession of firearms were the issue, but some of these people are charged with major firearms violations, and apparently committing a crime with a gun.

And I certainly need to hear a lot more about this FBI SAIC, Andrew Arena. If he has an agenda, he is in the perfect place to carry it out, and he could be a much bigger threat to the people of Michigan than any militia group is.

This gets more disturbing as it continues to develop, and I have more questions than answers now than I did over the weekend when this first broke loose...

I tried and got an error message. Even left the block for the excerpt blank and got message that Detroit News could not be quoted per copyright complaint.

Sounds like Arena maybe a first rate rumpswab.

He takes the old adage “To get ahead you have to give head” seriously

But then that’s been bureau policy since J Edgar and Clyde.

Apparently if you own a gun and then talk with your friends about how much you hate the government, you have committed conspiracy plus you get the 4 year add on for committing a felony while in possession of a firearm.

Note to MSM, note similarities to below organization. Interview Bill Ayers, President Obama’s buddy.

For this administration it won't matter if all the charges are now dropped. From the beginning the headlines screamed that they were a CHRISTIAN right wing militia. The work is done.

Sedition is illegal. Sedition is planning or plotting against the government. It’s illegal even if you haven’t done anything - planning is enough.

You’re right about that, but the burden of proof is high and actual sedition is difficult to prove because it is impossible to measure one’s “intentions”.

Only Tom Crusie fights crimes that have not occurred, and then only in a movie.

You too? I mean, what the hell is it about killing one cop (or one of anybody for that matter) which is supposed to take two years of planning??
