Why Is Conservative Media Crushing Liberal Media?
Henry Blodget

In the light of the recent ratings news--CNN implodes, FOX soars, MSNBC does okay--it's worth asking a question that no one seems to have a good answer to:
Why is conservative media crushing liberal media?
It's crushing it in ratings, crushing it in profits, crushing it in influence.
Liberal media fans love to decry the stupidity, benightedness, fearfulness, and meanness of conservative media fans, but it has gotten to the point where no one in the real world is listening. CNN's ratings are down by half, for goodness sake. And FOX is soaring.
It's not just a matter of profitability. Sometimes, when you ask people this question, they come back with cost- and revenue-related answers: It's harder to persuade advertisers to support liberal media, liberal media costs more to produce, etc. (All of which are debatable). But what we're interested in here is more than a question of profit. Conservative media is crushing liberal media in the ratings, too.
Now, based on the relative fortunes of the three big cable news networks, one theory pops to mind: bias wins. Of the three networks, FOX and MSNBC are unapologetically biased, while CNN is trying to cling to some fair and balanced middle ground (the winning slogan of the butt-kicking FOX notwithstanding). And it's failing miserably.

And FOX isn’t always fair and balanced as they are trying to convince America.
ABC, CBS, NBC, NYSlimes, NPR, PBS, Washington Post, Chicago Trib.....
That's easy. People who didn't watch Fox are just now finding out that Obama is a radical Marxist. People who do watch Fox knew Obama was a radical Marxist before he was elected president. That's called getting news vs. not getting news.
The recognition of truth has a way of rising to the top and those who seek to follow a trail of lies do so for personal gain and revenge.
In Chicago, the Tribune is known as the conservative paper.
Very simple. Democrats are in charge of Washington and having a liberal news media cheer-lead the government is boring, in fact it’s not even reporting. It is their job to check government not cheerlead it like MSNBC does. (David Gregory is doing a bit better on NBC.)
Rush got nationally famous in 1993-1994 with democrats in charge. Obama winning 2008 was the best thing to happen to FNC and talk radio.
CNN hosts can barely read the teleprompter and can’t ask
a question that has a modicum of intelligence behind it.
The corrupt left as shown in the MSM’s slant and your pathetic article... Gee, I wonder why Fox and talk radio are running away with the most viewers and listeners!
TRUTH you idiot!
There are as many stinking liberal talking heads at Fox as any, they are just more subtle.
They mask their bias with lightning rods like O'Reilly and Beck.
If it wasn't for people like John Gibson and Beck they'd be indistinguishable from the scum.
The comments to the article offer a telling insight into the warped thinking of libs.
I worked with a young woman who said her parents watch Fox just to “laugh at what the ‘crazy conservatives’ are saying. Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiight.
If the main stream press would simply start each TV program that is news related with the honest proclamation that it is liberal, or leftist or for the democrat party then that would translate into trust by its viewing audience.
It is YEARS of seeing the sneers on katie colic's face, or harry smith's mug, or chris matthews mug, or matt lauer's, keith olbermann's, wolf blitzer's, and ON and ON and ON...that has TURNED everyone off. IF these same kooks would simply PROCLAIM why saying something good about a republican causes so much pain to show on their faces and so my derision to appear in their voices by stating upfront their political persuasion instead of ACTING it out on TV...everyone watching them would be comfortable with their reporting. And trust it.
Instead these idiots play dumb and think their subtle persuasion towards the left is not noticeable...oh sure. It is like a bomb dropping and it turns people off who are expecting REPORTING not PROPAGANDIZING.
Years of this have turned the average joe off. It is insulting.
And worse, it is OFFENSIVE to know that MY TAX DOLLARS provide money for NPR and PBS, two big time groups that bend strongly to the left and yet pretend that they do not. It is wrong. Unfair. And an abuse of the money earned by the people of our country, many of whom are not democrats and NEVER WILL BE.
Guess we know what side of the table this author is coming from.
Do you mean Megyn Kelly, and are you saying she is liberal?
“Fox isn’t conservative. It’s just not as overtly biased as the rest....”
Exactly....at least we can hear a different side on Fox. The rest are completely left leaning.
Exactly.
I turn the TV on for one hour a day...to watch Glen Beck.

Yep.
Like the old days, i.e. "The Xcity Democrat" "The Xcity Republican"
I would suggest each display an image of a Left Spectrum and a Right Spectrum (no middle). Then they mark their position on one of the images.
