Gay OK for a president

Half of Americans say they are fine with an openly gay president -- and they're even hotter on a lesbian Miss America or homosexual Super Bowl quarterback, according to a poll released yesterday.

Fifty percent of those questioned by the 60 Minutes/Vanity Fair survey said they'd have no problem with a gay commander in chief.

Even more said they'd support a gay Miss America or NFL quarterback.

The poll also found:

* More people define being rich as earning at least $300,000 a year.

* The director who most would chose to direct a movie of their life is Steven Spielberg. The not-so-close second was Quentin Tarantino, followed by Woody Allen.

* Sex addiction is bunk, according to

This poll from (suprise) 60 Minuest and Vanity Fair is a perfect example of how you can get people to say whatever you want them to say, as long as you phrase the question correctly. The idea that more than half of this country would accept a gay president is, of course laughable, when you consider the number of general state votes that have rejected gay marriage. It also speaks to the fact that people generally give the politically correct answer to polling question (as the Dems were so fond of pointing out when Obama was running). If normal sexual preferrences didn't matter to voters, we certainly would have had more than one unmarried CIC in the past 234 years.

Worse yet, how “scientific” was this poll? 60 Minutes and Vanity Fair are not exactly the epitome of fair and balanced, IMHO.

My guess is they got 100 drag queens in SF for this poll, given the money required to live in that hell-hole.

What difference is race, age , sexual orientation or sex? The left cares about that crap. The focus should be strictly on a candidates governing philosophy. If Ronald Reagan, Bill Buckley or Barry Goldwater were re-incarnated as homo, would conservatives support him?
