Personally, I don't believe that he's "drunk with power," nor that he is "intoxicated by victory."

I am far more cynical of this OPRAH administration.

I seriously believe that you can't really understand BHO and his henchmen unless you have some understanding of the Pop Psychology that forms the basis of Oprah's belief in anything bigger than herself.

That pop psychology is exemplified in the recent bestseller, THE SECRET and one of the main tenets is that if you believe something hard enough that it will materialize into reality.

Inotherwords, magical thinking for the masses.

Another main tenet of the positive thought movement is to ACT as though you already have something, and if you ACT like you are powerful & victorious & hugely popular, THEN you will become so, in reality.

The magical thinking part of the positive thought theology explains alot of otherwise inexplicable behavior of the BHO administration.

Anyway, HE knows he's play acting and he's desparate for it to WORK.

I'm not... fully decided yet whether this Oprah Religion is... funny... or actually seriously dangerous... it's a very large pendulum swing between the two.

I occasionally wish that Governor Palin would crack some jokes about it, along the lines of "those styrofoam pillars" didn't impart power & legitimacy, and neither will his current FACADE.

I have noted this at work as well. Hence the many pronouncements that they had the votes; the blind disbelief of Waxman that any compnay could have problems. This mind-set is dangerous, no doubt about it. It's denial 101.

I’ve read the Secret and agree with you. It was very much on display at the Olympic bid debacle. Obama, Michelle and Oprah went in full blast complete with Michelle in her “go for the gold” overdone outfit. I even commented here afterward that the defeat must have really stunned them. All their Pop Psychology “positiveness” resulted in nothing.

I don't necessarily think that either Michelle or Barry actually BELIEVE in the Oprah Religion; however, they certainly must be beholden to her - surely she contributed ma$$ive buck$ to his campaign, right?

After the death of her father, Reverand Wright became a father figure to Michelle Obama, and she later had him conduct her marriage service. So I presume that she is an adherent of Black Liberation Theology.

Although many have claimed that BHO is muslim, he frankly strikes me as an atheist -- this is my OPINION, not any 'fact' whatsoever. I don't think that BHO believes in anything, but he must feel that he should be beholden to Oprah's deeply held belief system, right?

Oprah is the True Believer and thus we have an entire administration which is beholden to an afternoon womans variety talk show on television.

Amazing what the world's richest woman can do, hey???

Isn't it just PATHETIC, that she doesn't even realize that SHE is the only True Believer, and all the others are mere syncophants patronizing her believe system while drooling at her riches?

It's a REAL LIFE The Empress Has No Clothes, Mommy!!! saga.

Bibi & company should invite Oprah to Jerusalem, then they'll make some real headway with this administration.

Something so utterly JUVENILE as "The Secret" positive thinking philosophy should be SIMPLE for Mossad psychologists to manipulate, right????
