I have some good news, and some not so good news for you all. First, the not so good news. I am so sorry to inform you, my loyal listeners and friends, that, as of this morning at 8:30, I am no longer employed by WTIC 1080. Over the course of four months, we were unable to reach an agreement on a new contract. I want you to know I would never think of leaving you without saying good bye, especially in turbulent times like this, but the station made the decision to keep me off the air for the final day of my contract. So this will have to be my way of saying thank you. You are the most loyal and as the SOS says, brightest, well informed audience that any talker could have.

I probably went to the radioviceonline once in my life, probably posted on biggirl’s thread once or twice, but I always had Jim V on the dial whenever I could. Hopefully Jim can find a new home soon.

Jim Vicevich, a conservative talk show host at WTIC AM 1080, has parted ways with the station as they were not willing to pay him what he wanted for a new contract, he said in his blog this morning. He will continue to blog on radioviceonline.com, and will be on Fox CT’s morning show Thursday.
“Unfortunately, we were unable to reach a mutually amicable agreement,” said operations manager for CBS Radio Hartford Steven Salhany. “Jim has decided to move on and we wish him well.
Vicevich said in his farewell post: “I am so blessed to have you all over the years, especially in January when it was your prayers that not only saw me through a health crisis, but has led to my remission. True. It is my prayer now that we can continue the conversation and the relationship.”
Got to remember Friends, this is the SAME SEE-BS that has NO PROBLEM paying good money to hire Katie to do the evening news!

Jim Vicevich's show is SO good, I actually thought he might go national. Many days I learn more from Jim's "Sound off Connecticut" than I do from Rush. I think Jim's show might be part of Rush's show prep. Vicevich and FR...

Well, we've know that for years.
What's the real story with Jim and WTIC, do you know? Did WTIC want to cut Jim's pay? Or just didn't offer him enough money? I thought "Sound Off CT" had decent ad revenue...?
