“YOU HAVE TO HAVE REPUBLICANS, TOO”? I think I heard that said about healthcare not long ago.

That’s the message to keep us off balance. Same with the drilling.

Immigration reform is more bi-partisan than health care reform. Perhaps I should say it is less partisan. There are more Republicans in favor of it, BUT, there are also many Democrats who are against it. When Obama says he will need Republican’s to get some ‘skin in the game’, he means that he doesn’t have enough Dems that will vote yea.

this is a major reason for Barry’s smoke-and-mirrors on oil drilling. Most Americans who don’t read the fine print will like what they hear.

I'm not so sure. I think his smoke-and-mirrors on oil drilling just p*ssed off his looney left base, and no one else believes a word of it.

” but progress on climate change, immigration and other contentious measures probably wasn’t — no matter what happened with the health care bill”

These are the SAME things they said about the Health Care Bill before it was rammed down the public’s throats and up our a$$es . Mark my words—all of these things will be attempted and passed befpre November.

I will, but I doubt it. See the excerpt in comment# 1, and my comment# 19. They don't have the votes for immigration reform, just like they don't have the votes for renewing an "assault weapons ban." The House voted for "cap & tax" already. They don't have the votes in the Senate. The most they'll do is attack Wall Street and education reform, IMHO. They want to be re-elected in November.

Some people choose the party before the person.

But thios is the FIRST Time in My Memory I heard of the Party taking precedence over AMERICA!

What a tragedy!

Nice.

Look at Congressman "Diversity" to her right over there. The scowl on his face tell me that he is hearing lots of imaginary insults thrown his way.

Yesssirree! He hears em!

Never trust blue dogs: all bark no teeth. The won't change until prominent ones among them will be routed in coming elections.

The same can be said about RINO's. Until McPsycho is kicked out of Senate, expect no change.

There's no need to trust them when 84 Congressional Districts are held by rats that voted for Bush in 2004 or McCain in 2008, IIRC. These rats know that they are way out on a limb already.

The same can be said about RINO's. Until McPsycho is kicked out of Senate, expect no change.

Some RINOs are geographically inevitable. I thought Tea Parties and the Republican Party had a great analysis.

I know, but when we have a shot, we should kick them out. I think we have a shot at McPsycho.

As for blue dogs, I think your view is a reasonable assumption. On the other hand, they buckled under Zero's pressure more than I expected. I begin to wonder whom they fear more, their constituents or Zero.

“But aides and members, Republicans and Democrats alike, said that a Wall Street crackdown was coming — but progress on climate change, immigration and other contentious measures probably wasn’t — no matter what happened with the health care bill.”

Progress.

No bias there.

The capital was not only expended. It has overreached and gone into the red. Congress is going to rebel at this tyrant who cares nothing about their future, who cares nothing about them, who cares nothing about us.

Unless Obama is trying to incite open rebellion so he can declare martial law before the elections, and cancel them, there is no point in his twisting arms at this point to get further repellent legislation passed.
