Democrats Lying Low Over Recess As Polls Show Rising Anger Over Obamacare

LOS ANGELES – The week after passing landmark healthcare reform and handing President Barack Obama an important victory, members of the U.S. Congress returned to their home districts for a recess to face constituents and justify their votes after the bruising legislative battle.

While Obama made flying visits across the country to tout the new legislation, a number of key Democrats, who led the charge for healthcare reform, seemed to keep a low profile and are doing little to beat the drum.

Republican lawmakers, however, made quick plans to harness what they see as voter discontent over the issue -- either by lambasting those Democrats who may be politically vulnerable or by shoring up their own shaky campaigns with criticism of "Obamacare."

While healthcare reform was thought to be a defining issue in congressional elections, many experts believe it may lose steam by November and prove less important for voters than unemployment and the economy.

Before public anger over healthcare fades, Republicans from veteran senators to freshman congressmen were racing to get their message out at the outset of the two-week spring recess.

Chickensh*t Ike Skelton is afraid to show his face in the district. He invites folks to his telephone ‘conference calls” which are stage-managed and choreographed.

Dems, a REALLY BIG WARNING.

You had better withhold any planned shenanigans
this November.

Or you’ll reap the whirlwind.

I am worried that healthcare will be an “oh, well” topic in November.

I doubt if Mary Landrieu is losing any sleep over her vote. She has 4 years to lie her way back into the heads of her constituents. She is arrogant enough to think she can do it. Wonder if anyone has tried to contact her yet because it was impossible when the healthcare issue was coming to a vote. But, come 2014, God willing, she’s gone!!!!

This was an intolerable act and a foolish move on the part of the congress to attempt to push this on us ignoring not only the consent of the governed(the Constitution) but the will of the people.

This act of defiance against the same cannot be allowed to stand no matter what congress has done under this context it Must be overturned and killed in no uncertainty terms as to insure that no congress ever dare try to do defy the Consent of the governed and the will of the people again!

So far, I have this list of Dems running scared:

Tim Ryan-OH—cancelled town hall
Paul Hodes NC-visited sr. center, they didn’t want to shake his hand
NY 29-cancelling special election for Massa
Harry Reid-no plans to publicly speak on HC during spring recess
Bart Stupak, no plans to publicly speak during recess
Ben Nelson-nothing on agenda to address HC

Amusing how few of these experts have names.

My congressman, Mel Watt, held a town hall (at an all black college) yesterday and tried to claim the economy is on the rebound. The audience may have bought it but judging by the comments after the article in the local paper, no one else is. Here’s the article:
