WASHINGTON – The FBI is warning police across the country that an anti-government group's call to remove governors from office could provoke violence.
 
The group called the Guardians of the free Republics wants to "restore America" by peacefully dismantling parts of the government, according to its Web site. It sent letters to governors demanding they leave office or be removed.
 
Investigators do not see threats of violence in the group's message, but fear the broad call for removal of top state officials could lead others to act out violently. At least two states beefed up security in response...

If they ‘don’t see threats of violence’ then what’s the big stink? It ‘might’ lead others to violence? Poppycock and excuses. Are they going to go after Rush for saying we should get rid of the b*stards. Vote them out. I don’t like this trend at all.

Wasn’t there an article a couple of days ago saying that the state government in one of the southwestern states went on the alert due to a warning of some sort from the FBI to the governors?

I suspect this is chiefly another effort on the part of the FBI to increase tension and anxiety and to villainize conservatives.

Is it now a crime to ask a governor to step down? I thought that Obama and the NY Times just did precisely that to Governor Patterson a while ago—and then pressured him in various ways until he agreed not to run against Andrew Cuomo.

Words have precise meanings. The socialist policies in DC may provoke violence. The concern here is that this group's letters could trigger the violence provoked by politicians who ignore the Constitution.

Yes, I'd call it a false flag ops most likely, or scapegoat shopping.

They are working overtime to shut down legitmate Patriot Dissent, and they will necessarily first target the "fringe" (which may or may not even bear any resemblance to where you and I are coming from), dispense with them, and then gradually move into the center wherein and whereby you and yours and I may well be detained or hauled off to Sensitivity Camps. I am sure it is in an Obama Administration strategy paper somewhere, composed by his domestic policy advisors in the WH and chopped off (approved) by other major government units, such as FBI, DHS, FCC, etc. etc.

This Tea Party business of 2009 has shocked the hell out of them, and they are not taking it lying down, for they fear their whole house of cards coming down throughout this year. Interesting. Do they wear bow ties too? (Nation of Islam style). Maybe they have all Black SS details so they can say whatever they want without fear it will show up in the news. I remember reading early on about a SS agent who complained that Michelle and the girls were making racist comments about whites. That story died very quickly, I didn’t read anything else about the complaint, it just disappeared.

Agents provocateurs. How many people are worried more about the growth of STATE power as opposed to FEDERAL power? Not many, I’d bet. Why go after governors? We’re more worried about Reps, Senators and Presidents.

I’m sure I misspelled the word. It is a political takeover of the government over the will of the people. Demoncraps don’t care about what the people they represent want. It doesn’t matter. I really don’t see the people’s wrath against governors. Maybe a few like the Arnold in Cali but most of the anger that people have is directed towards Washington.

Well I read some of their doctrine and there’s one that calls for the elimination of all prosecution of crimes that do not have an injured party.
