He may be the world's foremost mixed-race leader, but when it came to the official government head count, President Barack Obama gave only one answer to the question about his ethnic background: African-American.
The White House confirmed Friday that Obama did not check multiple boxes on his U.S. Census form, or choose the option that allows him to elaborate on his racial heritage. He ticked the box that says "Black, African Am., or Negro."

Bammy had no mother. He was born in the clouds. His father was Black and his mother was...HUMANITY!!
They can’t move on to the “content of his character” because he has no character.
Before the election, Obama was portrayed as an inclusive person and a bridge between races.
Biracials, who were often ridiculed by blacks as "Zebras" and "Oreos", saw his biracial reality as a way to escape the racist ridicule.
In the end, however, Obama's self-chosen race is whatever brings him the most political benefit.
He denies it because it is not politically expedient.
The other side of this story is why is he ashamed of being half white?
:::::::::::::::::::
A rhetorical question, right?
Bears repeating.
I just don't get why the LSM continues to bring up race when no one except Chris Matthews is interested in it.
To stir dissent.
It helps sell laundry detergent.
The funniest part of the whole comi-tragedy is - he isn't, not really.
He wouldn’t be where he is if had come out looking more white.
He’d be a good case for a psychiatrist. . Despite barely knowing them he apparently has clung to his African relatives for his identity, their grudges are his grudges. He hates the British because they tortured his grandfather and so it affects the foreign policy of the United States. He seems to hate whites - maybe because his mother shoved him aside to grandparents who perhaps saw him as their token black. A very screwed up person.
As Sarah said - the presidency of the US should not be a journey of personal discovery.
WOW...I am surprised by the comments. Hardly a ‘pro-Obama’ one in sight.
Funny thing is that 0 has nothing in common with mainstream Blacks. Many are waking up to that.
Historically it was always the MOTHER who determined a person’s race. Ishmael was born to an Egyptian, a slave, in the deep south, it was never who the father was, but a slave woman always gave birth to a slave. So, in the case of Barry, his race should be ‘white’. But, on another note, I’ve talked to scores of people who are checking false boxes, just to make the government controlled media have glitches. Last time the census takers came around, I told them I was Jewish!
So he really is the Barack the Magic Negro!
AFRICAN AMERICAN UBER ALLES is why.
Black = good, White = bad. He’s ashamed of his whore of a mother and romanticizes his communist drunkard father.
I marked mine as “Other: Unknown”.
I really don’t know the names or races of all sixteen of my great-great-grandparents. According to the way these things are figured, if any of those sixteen people were a racial minority, I, too, am that racial minority.
Could one have been a Native American, Asian/Pacific Islander, Black or Hispanic? It is surely possible, maybe even probable.... So I have to pretty much presume that there is a good possibility that I am some racial minority or another.
Given the penalties for falsifying the document, I did the only thing any responsible person could have done, in the circumstances, and answered that I do no know.
There was no box to check for “Do not care”...
Read the article.
"The Census Bureau" did not realease that information.
"The White House" did.
To use a medical analogy, under medical privacy laws, your hospital cannot divulge one bit of your medical information without your written permission.
You, on the other hand, can publish your entire medical record on the Internet and have it read from here to Outer Mongolia if it floats your boat.
But did he check of the box using a Negro dialect?
10. Does Person 1 sometimes live or stay somewhere else?
There is no check box for Air Force One!
I know a bi-racial man who grew up with the white side of his family, just like Obama did. Just like Obama, he barely knew his father, but his mother and grandmother and other extended family cared for him, loved him, raised him and there was never any tension or question about race one way or the other. He did not view himself as “separate but equal” from his family because his skin color was different from theirs. Nor did such a thing ever occur to his family.
I’ve said for a while that in today’s society race is nothing but a SOCIAL CONSTRUCT. As Obama said in his bio, I believe, he consciously chose to take on the identity of a “black man,” and one of the reasons he went to Chicago was to learn how to be a “black man.”
Whatever.
