Another Obama administration nominee, Robert Harding for director of the Transportation Security Administration, has bitten the dust after investigators discovered his defense-contracting company collected millions more federal money than it was entitled to. Mr. Harding blamed the overcharge on his accountants. His company also got a federal contract under a "set-aside" program for service-disabled veterans. His service-related disability? Sleep apnea.
Mr. Harding slinks away two months after Erroll Southers, a former counterterrorism supervisor for the Los Angeles airport police and a favorite of Sen. Joseph Lieberman, I-Conn., took himself out of the running for the TSA top job after admitting he conducted database searches and downloaded and distributed the confidential law-enforcement records of his estranged wife's boyfriend. Mr. Southers blamed his withdrawal not on his actions, but on "those who have chosen to push a political agenda at the risk of the safety and security of the American people."
It's hardly unusual that an Obama nominee would run afoul of the law, though they usually gravitate toward tax evasion and such. But the president's inability to put up an honest TSA nominee has led to much hand-wringing inside the Beltway. Big Public Labor is especially anxious because it can't unionize the TSA until after a director is sworn in. If you think airport screening is a hassle now, wait until it's performed by unionists with their not-my-job descriptions.

Decades later, I occasionally dream that I'm back in service. Wonder if I could rip off Uncle Sam for this? This character did just that, ripped off tax payers.

I eat plenty now, maybe that is because I am compensating for when they starved me and refused to give me seconds on meat and vegies but told me to eat all the ice cream I wanted at the salad bar!
I am going to see my Marine Cousins at a 40Th Wedding anniversary shortly, all pre 68 Types 3/3, 1/1, 3/5, and 2/7 and ask them if they had that option. I am sure that all of them are five eight or less is because of dietary limitations.
