Retired teacher Maureen Decker emerged yesterday from Woods' sordid past to say that a story he's told about being brutalized by racist kids on his first day of kindergarten was pure bunk.
"I am asking Tiger for a private and public apology to put my mind at ease and set the record straight," said Decker, a smiling 69-year-old.
Decker ripped a recollection from Woods that appeared in a book written by his buddy, former NBA star Charles Barkley, and which he repeated in an interview with Barbara Walters.
"A group of sixth graders tied me to a tree, spray-painted the word 'n----' on me, and threw rocks at me," he said. "That was my first day of school. And the teacher really didn't do much of anything."
Decker said that account is "false" and thinks Woods' late dad, Earl, cooked it up for "more publicity."
This is a story that has pretty much taken up a life of it’s own. Jesse James has pretty much done the same with his wife Sandra Bullock, but we’re not inundated with it by the media.

Eldrick makes me want to puke. His foul mouth behavior on the course (which I have personally witnessed) is disgusting.

He left out the part where they stole his lunch money and tell him his mom wears combat boots.
His Dad also said they were not allowed to play at a west coast Navy Course when Tiger was 11 or 12 because of race. Total BS, the Navy was so gun shy after the Carrier race problems they would never pull this crap. Was his Dad really Special Forces?

Woods attended Kansas State University (then known as Kansas State College), and played varsity baseball, earning a varsity letter in both 1952 and 1953.
He was of multi-ethnic ancestry: African American, Chinese, and Native American. His teammate Larry Hartshorn told how Woods was not allowed to play at a college in Mississippi. The entire Kansas State University team left in protest without playing.[1] Woods broke the Big Eight Conference (then the Big Seven Conference) “color barrier” in baseball in 1951.[5] He generally played as a catcher, and was offered a contract by the Kansas City Monarchs of the Negro Leagues. However, he turned down the offer and continued his education. He graduated in 1953 (B.S. in Sociology),[6] and embarked on a career as a commissioned officer in the U.S. Army.[1]

Woods served two combat tours during the Vietnam War, the second with the elite United States Army Special Forces.[2] A Defense Information School graduate, Lieutenant Colonel Woods was assigned as an instructor of Military Science & Tactics, (Army ROTC) at the City College of New York for several years. He retired from the military in 1974.[7] He then moved to southern California, and resumed working in a new career path, as an agent for corporations involved in defense industry contracting.
At first I felt bad for this woman, when I heard the story I was like “Damn what did Tiger say about this poor woman” but then I heard that the book in question came out FOUR YEARS AGO..so where the hell has this woman been. Does she suffer from delayed reaction syndrome? Then I heard her press conference, going on and on about how this has caused her colitis and other stuff, then I said OHHHHHHHHH, nothing more then a media whore after her 15 minutes, and who do I see next to her, but Gloria Allred, the queen of media whores..I can’t stand Tiger Woods, I think he is a total schmuck, but this teacher is just after her 15 minutes
There are still fanboys here who wave off this slime bringing home STDs and possibly AIDS to his wife. His wife appears to be a good mother to the kids while he is a digusting person.
Rags? What about setting the ‘race’ record straight. This reminds me of the Tawana Browley and Duke incidents.
I live in Tigers home town and used to have respect for him. Tiger playing the race card is a big disappointment for me. I don’t know which is worse the race card or the sex shenanigans. All I know this is the last straw.
