Wow...that was a good shake...it went on for quite a while. Everybody ok?
felt “hard” in San Diego..can we change the title?
Everyone here is good, our two dogs could have cared less though..LOL I thought dogs give u advanced warning or something
On the phone with bro in law in Laguna Woods.........he said.....the building is shaking........we’re evacuating.
Was sitting outside in a chair, and really felt the earthquake, it went on for quite a while, in the San Gabriel Valley area. The chair was rocking around, gentle motion, but certainly felt. Those closer probably felt it a lot stronger.
Quite an impressive shake when felt up here in Escondido. Also had one significant aftershock. Big impact will be in the Imperial Valley.
Holy crap, I felt that in Phoenix.
Felt it in Phoenix. Significant sloshing in the pool.
Felt it pretty strong in San Fernando Valley.
Felt it pretty good north of LA! Just a little roller here though. I stood next to the big screen TV until it passed...
*ping*
In Poway...good shake for about 5-10 seconds...6.9 in northeast Baja.
It was felt all over Phoenix
Felt one brief shock here in Phoenix
OK here, not a quiver.
Hope everyone is OK - reports of damage?
I am just imagining the people in a movie theater watching 2012 during this rumble.
Surreal.
Strong in southern Orange County
I am near the downtown area of San Diego and my bldg shook and cracked. This sucker lasted for some time.
Felt a little rockin’ and rollin’ here in West Hollywood. Scared my cat.
We felt it all the way up in Phoenix Arizona!!!
Wife and I were wondering “What the heck is that?!?”

We felt a slow rolling here in Woodland Hills. 6.9 in Baja makes sense. I figured it must be big and far away.
I don’t think I’ve ever felt one go on that long. All okay in Yorba Linda.
Something fell in the family room but I havent checked yet.
Breaking on CNN.

very long quake, started out slow, rolling, then went to sharper back & forth, then rolled off.
Shake, shake, shake...

It was a good 30 second roller here in Cypress, California. We are a few miles West of Disneyland.
In San Diego - felt it good - good enough that I went outside.
In fact, just felt a small tremor again. There have been several tremors in the 4.3 range for the past few days.
But .. a 6.9 is not a small earthquake.
Good save...:-)
Rolling motion - like a boat.
The Chile earthquake was 6.9, and the Haiti Earthquake was a 7.0.
My Mom was yelling earthquake and I did not know what the heck she was talking about..I saw different things in the house moving and I’m like, I don’t feel anything..it was weird, like a sway that kept on going, the dogs of course, did not care..I held them since I did not want anything to fall on them. Thank God this was not in LA, damn, imagine the damage there. Where north of LA are you? I’m in West LA
How long did it last? 30 secs? 1 min.?
Felt it here in Hollywood too. the studio just shook, people stared and everyone went outside to check if their cars are still there..
It’s been revised to a 7+, per Twitter.
Felt it here in L.A.
Very long shimmy.
There was just a 4.1 up in Sonoma County, not quite a bookend, but interesting. Keep hitting “refresh” on the quake.usgs.gov page.
felt here in south Orange County...right during the middle of the easter egg hunt. The kids all just stood in the middle of the lawn and rode the waves :o). Hope everyone and their property is okay.
Felt the roller while my wife and I were watching Jesus of Nazareth.
a 4.1 has also just hit the Geysers area in N. CA
Pretty gnarly here in the IE! :o0
Looking at the map it appears to be part of the Southern San Andreas fault that runs into the Sea of Cortez. They have lots of smaller earthquakes in that general area all the time including a few 5’s. This is the largest one in quite while.
I wonder if this is the beginning of something bigger as there is a ton of activity at just one place in Mexico. Maybe it’s a drug cartel blasting a new tunnel? :P

We felt it strong in Yuma, I could see the cars rocking on their suspensions in the driveway, and the house across the street the windows were flexing and moving...
Hi! in Newport Beach ... good shake over here!
