Scores of gangbangers marauded through Times Square and nearby streets last night, storming businesses and harrassing pedestrians as three people were shot in possibly related violence. Hundreds of cops struggled to disperse the youths. One man was shot in the ankle on West 41st Street between Seventh and Eighth avenues. Early this morning two people were shot at 34th Street between Seventh and Eighth avenues. Their conditions were not immediately known. Twenty young men were seen fleeing the scene. * * * At least 30 people, including seven juveniles, were arrested by early this morning. In past years, the NYPD and businesses have beefed up security in the area on Easter Sunday, which has become known in certain circles as "Gang Initiation Day."

Philly-style flashmob?
They might have gotten unruly, but at least they weren’t smoking.
Welcome to FR.
Thanks!
What’s the sniff for?
Fox appears to be sliding into MSM status more and more these days.
How many cities have now reported this problem?
Here's another pic of the perps.
Guess they want to be friends with Hussein Obama and his boys.
NOt true, small towns and cities across the US are seeing gang and drug activities
I used to work at One Penn Plaza which (one one side of the building) constitutes most of the block on 34th Street between 7th & 8th Avenues, where apparently two shootings took place.
For the benefit of non-New Yorkers .. Rush Limbaugh used to, and (I believe) Sean Hannity still does, broadcast their radio shows from Two Penn Plaza. The heart of Penn Plaza is, of course, Penn Station, where many travelers would have been returning or departing following family holiday time.
And, as movie classics viewers can appreciate, Macy’s is on the corner of 34th and 7th Avenue. It is few feet to the grandstand where we watch the performers every year at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade.
This is a business district, close enough to Times Square, and is NOT a ‘hood.’ These thugs probably took the subway to get to Times Square purposely to create mayhem.
I doubt I wlll ever see groups of gangbangers wandering the streets of Randolph shooting at people without in turn being riddled into swiss cheese pretty quickly.
Was this another Amish attack?
What race were they? I wonder if it even happened at all. Just spent 15 minutes searching the(once-great, now liberal rag)NY Daily News online and could find no mention of this event. Three dead, 100 hurt in Mayor Mike’s Mall and not a word?! Well, I guess that’s one way to avoid dealing with those pesky little things like facts, descriptions of the culprits, etc.
Hello-o-o-o 1970’s! Especially with a out-of-towner, outer-borough-despising, elitist Euro-phile like Mike Bloomberg fooling the all the same idiots who thought Chairman Zero would wave his magic wand and turn NYC into one big bicycle path and Whole Foods Market.
And I am a native New Yorker, a product of the people who built this city, who wonders everyday, “Hey, Snot-nosed Brats, fart-dust socialist poseurs, enviro-fascists and twenty-something, flip-flop, girlfriend’s dog-walking sissies, Where’s My City!”
Mallhattan only works if the "security" controls access and the goblins have other things to do with their lives other than rob, rape and pillage.
BTW: Mayor Mike doesn't "despise" the outer boroughs. He actually praises "New Brooklyn" for being the "hippest" area of the world, and praising all the Armenian/Korean/Rosacrucian fusion restaurants opening everywhere from Greenpoint to Bushwick.
All it takes is for a few cases of yuppies getting KO'd on the west side bike trails and a hipsters getting regularly attacked at the Bedford Street station for the sh-t to start really hitting the fan.
Correct me if I am wrong, but NYC has one of the toughest gun laws in the USA. How did 4 people get shot, with such tough gun laws. Must have been those rascally NRA members pulling their pieces and firing randomly. Oh, that’s right, only law abiding, permit carrying individuals may not carry in NYC.
Sorry for the goof!!
As usual and in spite of Bloomberg’s ignorance, it’s the social production of thugs that spawns murderous violence, not the manufacturing production of guns.
Should have been 54 shot, 3 arrested.
Three dead? Where do you see that?
Apparently. Here is a member of the "Hersey Boyz" flashing his gang signs.
