Trying to force yourself on others always ends in disappointment, why is this a national story? She tried to force herself on a group that whether she liked it or not, did not want to deal with her nonsense... She paid the price, so be it. Even those who may have been sympathetic to her she likely alienated with her pointless drama.

She ruins their regular prom, runs to the courts and then expects the folks she just jilted to run to her with open arms? Please.

Tolerance and acceptance are completely different concepts, and when you attempt to force acceptance of your abhorant behaviors on those who are willing to tolerate them, you are going to learn a harsh lesson every time.

I love the fact that this time she says “if they didn’t want me there I wasn’t going” but previously when faced with the same exact decision she takes it to the courts.

Sweetie your 15 minutes of fame are over, and sadly they have been for an absolutely idiotic reason.

Where are this girls parents? Seriously, why didn’t they sit her down and teach her just the basics of human interaction? She is defining herself by her actions and then trying to force those arround her to accept those actions as normal... and rather allowing interpersonal relationships at an individual level dictate her acceptance, demans the courts push it on others. This is nothing but a recipe for disaster and utter stupidity.

The real issue with this girl was not she wanted to go with her girlfriend, it was because one of them wanted to wear a tux, if they really wanted to just be at the dance, they could have quietly bought tickets and gone. This is and always was created pointless drama.

The district responded by withdrawing its sponsorship and cancelling the April 2 event.

So, she gets Prom canceled and is surprised she's not popular? Go figure.

A better headline would be ‘ATTENTION WHORE DENIED.’

Reminds me of the ‘free market’ principles Michele and people aren’t buying your depravity.

See how we’ve been jerked around to believe that there are so many of these people out there? And we have been led to believe that there is huge support for this perversion; even from ‘the straight’ community. Nah, this is very reflective (imo) of the reality of this whole movement. People are fed up. Kind of like finding out that there was only a little old man behind the current in the Land of Oz; loud, frightening, and the perception that great power existed; then the current was pulled back.

Disappointment as US high school students snub 'lesbian-friendly prom'

They found out that the lesbians weren't all looking for random guys for threesomes.

Think it is interesting that over the years girls have gone together (in groups) to proms as they didn’t have date/boyfriend and still wanted to be part of the festivities. This young woman could have done so very low key..

It was about flaunting her lifestyle

drama queen & self centered mentality will always lose friends & NEGATIVELY influence people.

She has a lot to learn.. but hey, she might be just fine in the O administration
