Now there’s an interesting excuse for why young adults can’t get a job. It totally deflects attention away from the fact that the minimum wage is too high, keeping young people out of entry-level positions. The unemployment numbers for people ages 18-25 are astronomical.
It ain’t “old people” keeping young ones out of jobs. It’s the fact that they cost too much— by law — to hire.
And then there’s the illegal alien problem. Get them out of here, and more jobs will be available.
Absolutely, the minimum wage is a job killer. The government creates ceilings on profit and floors on expenses... how is this going to work out in the long run?
