During the American Civil War, Richmond served as the capital of the Confederate States of America, and many important American Civil War landmarks remain in the city today[when?], including the Virginia State Capitol and the White House of the Confederacy, among others.

It’s cruel but truthful to say but slavery is a great deal for todays Black Americans. Would any Black American want to live in Africa? Many Italian-Americans could handle living in Italy. No American blackman is ever going to retire in Africa but I know plenty of Polish and Greek Americans who retire in the “old country”

If their ancestors hadn’t be made slaves (just like they did in Africa back then) where would they be?

If the modern day Liberals hadn't destroyed their families and made them welfare slaves with their policies, where would they be?

Would any African American want to be a member of the party of slavery?

IIRC the slave ships which visited the African coasts (they got their slaves by buying them from the victors of warring African tribes) went several places, not just to North America. They were much more likely to survive if headed for the American colonies/states, which accounted for something under a quarter of the slave business. None of this excuses the chattel slave business, but circumstances were propitious for those who came to America. When chattel slavery was abolished, few wanted to set sail back to Africa.

I’ve pondered buying property in Namibia for as part of my retirement planning. I could live there quite happily.
