“The Democrats’ Tylenol Moment—Can they recover before November?”
NO! I will not forget.

Bring up amnesty, cap & trade or other issues the public is against and they surely wont recover by November.I couldn't agree more and they will try to shove them down our throats, IMO.

More like a Union Carbide in Bhopal moment...

Tylenol immediately recognized that they had a problem and were willing to take dramatic action immediately to correct it. Tylenol ordered all stores to pull its product off the shelf. They then came out and said the product would not return to the shelves until it was safe and modified so the cause of the problems could not happen again. The popular capsules were eliminated because they were easy to tamper with. It took real guts to do this, and Tylenol took a huge short term hit. But because it addressed the real problem and wasn't just a marketing gimmick peoples faith in the brand returned when the product in its new form returned to the shelves.
If Democrats wanted a Tylenol moment they would need to pull all of their incumbents out of office. Then place requirements in the primary to make sure that the poison of socialism would not reenter the policy. Democrats are not having a Tylenol moment. The democrats don't want to make the product safe, they just want to put out a new spin that cyanide is good for you.

Very well stated, that’s exactly how the Tylenol incident played out.
You’re also correct about the Dems, they can’t and won’t be honest about what’s taken place.

The democrat’s problem is that they are in the business of selling cyanide and calling it Tylenol.

There isn't a tampon big enough to stop the hemorraging of their ideology. Sudden power, falsely perceived or otherwise, is a very powerful thing. Conversely, the dormant complacence of ‘regular America' has been underestimated on occasion [i.e., Japan's big attack mistake]. Obama, rightly connoted to mean ONE BIG ASS MISTAKE AMERICA, is about to be proven true.

I lived in Chicago then, people gave up taking Tylenol there for years. I hope America gives up voting for these losers for years too.
To: ClearCase_guy
They are not Tylenol. They are the crazy guy giving us poison. Thats the best stuff I have heard all day.
To: jazusamo
How about an enema moment for them? *GRIN*

Democrats have no intention of recovering. They are power hungry, crazed by delusions of grandeur and visions of making America mediocre. The tyrants are just getting started. Watch cap and tax and open borders. What we have to worry about from this thugocracy is the possibility they will either forgo elections, or rig them like other third world tyrants do. We need to work hard on the local and state levels to ensure fair elections, and the Democrat scum will be scraped out of Congress in 2010 and out of the White House in 2012.

If they can’t recover by November elections there won’t be any November elections.

Are you referring to how they are trying to poison America ???
To: jazusamo
This is a poor analogy. In the Tylenol case, you had a mad investor, who was short-selling Johnson & Johnson, the manufacturers of Tylenol, then put cyanide into Tylenol capsules in order to drive the price of J & J down, so he could profit.
With the Democrats, no one is "tampering with their brand". The Democrats are getting done, everything they want to get done. The Democrats wanted the insane healthcare bill. The Democrats wanted the bail outs. The Democrats wanted to takeover GM and Chrysler. The Democrats wanted the Slush Fund, aka Stimulus Bill.
It is due to these actions and the predictably bad results to the economy and the creation of concern and fear among the American public, that the Democrats are taking a well-earned HIT to their brand.
What would it take for the Democrats to turn this around? Repeal healthcare, stop the stimulus spending, reverse the vast increases in the Federal Budget, end their anti-American foreign policy initiatives. Are they going to do this? Hell NO!
So, there is zero chance the Democrats are going to turn it around before November. A tsunami is heading right toward the Democrat Party. This is going to make 1994 look like a light rain storm. It's going to be bigger and it's going to reach way down into the politics of the State. ObamaCare and the State lawsuits against it has put ObamaCare right into the elections in many States. You have State Attorneys General, who have refused to join the lawsuit. Those Attorneys General are toast. State Legislators, who opposed the lawsuit are toast. State budgets are going to be swamped due to ObamaCare. That makes ObamaCare a State issue.
November, I can't wait to vote and I can't wait to vote in the primary too.
