NEW ORLEANS (AP) - Liz Cheney, daughter of former Vice President Dick Cheney, has opened a conference of Southern Republicans by calling President Obama's health care campaign an arrogant power play.

The first speaker at the three-day Southern Republican Leadership Conference, Cheney accused Obama of peddling "phony numbers" to get his health care bill passed by Congress.

She predicted Republicans will repeal the bill.

I saw her speech on CSPAN. She was great , per usual. And she is correct about Obama being arrogant.

Sadly, some in your own party aren't on board with this idea, Ms. Cheney. It appears the GOP women are now stronger than the men.

Good for her, but I would call it "criminal."

So, by virtue of having criticized Obama, she’s now a racist too, right?

I had a dream the other night of a cold night in February, 2013. The flag is seen in the background of the chamber. Michelle Bachmann and Liz Cheney fill the bottom left and right of the screen. The clerk does his thing and a after a few minutes of shaking hands, a 3rd woman with upswept hair joins them on the rostrum as somewhere in DC cups of kool-aid are being passed around the MSNBC bureau.

I think Liz Cheney should be Sarah’s Press Secretary!

Too low profile. I think VP is better. The GOP did ok with a Cheney on the ticket last time. Palin-Cheney. PC for the 21st century!

For Press Secretary, I think she should have a rotating system of various conservative media types. Imagine say, Glenn Beck for a while, then Mark Levin, then Rush, just keep rotating them in and out.

It’s more than arrogant. It’s insane.
