You have to be just about the dumbest person ever to live if you shoot yourself while cleaning your gun.
That’s how I’ve always looked at it. It’s sooooo easy to make sure the pistol is empty. It ain’t hard. Remove the magazine, check the pipe, and never pull the trigger AND NEVER POINT THE GUN AT YOURSELF OR ANYONE ELSE. It just isn’t that hard.
