Richard Dawkins: I Will Arrest Pope Benedict XVI

April 11, 2010 Richard Dawkins: I Will Arrest Pope Benedict XVI Marc Horne

Atheist campaigner Richard Dawkins RICHARD DAWKINS, the atheist campaigner, is planning a legal ambush to have the Pope arrested during his state visit to Britain “for crimes against humanity”.

Dawkins and Christopher Hitchens, the atheist author, have asked human rights lawyers to produce a case for charging Pope Benedict XVI over his alleged cover-up of sexual abuse in the Catholic church.

The pair believe they can exploit the same legal principle used to arrest Augusto Pinochet, the late Chilean dictator, when he visited Britain in 1998.

The Pope was embroiled in new controversy this weekend over a letter he signed arguing that the “good of the universal church” should be considered against the defrocking of an American priest who committed sex offences against two boys. It was dated 1985, when he was in charge of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, which deals with sex abuse cases.

Richard Dawson?

Who is next on your list, Charles Nelson Reilly?

And then he's going to find Colonel Hogan's killer.

I don’t know if he’s a good man, or not.

His support of globalism indicates he’s either terminally stupid—which doesn’t jive with his record

or . . . at least embrasing evil from hell.

Given all the documented official

horrific Marian heresies,

I don’t think any Roman Catholic et al

has a gnat’s leg to stand on pontificating about other folks and their goddesses!

THANKS for posting that.

However, be careful . . .

A number of influential folks hereon purport to hate

Globalism/Communism/Socialism

while trashing folks who post documented evils and histories of such.

QUITE TRUE . . . AND BIBLICALLY PREDICTED:

Q. Your book claims that subversive influences in the highest clerical positions of the Church are working to bring it into the new world order. What do you mean by new world order?

A. In its completely planned form, there will be a total globalization of money, and the flow of capital and capital goods will be managed from a single, centrally directed entity such as the Bank of International Settlements in Switzerland. Any nation that does not submit to the globalized system will perish.

In addition, there will be an expanded United Nations which will spread its new ethical structure, already championed by Mikhail Gorbachev and Maurice Strong. This will replace the Ten Commandments and become the basis of a new universal and godless religion.

Only temporarily godless. Satan will step up at the head of the global tyranny he is busily constructing with so much eager complict help by our 'SElected' officials, and demand to be worshipped as God.

Folks who resist or avoid speaking the truth about such things are on dangerous philosophical and spiritual ground.

Responses on this forum are fairly predictable. Members are mostly going to take the extreme religious fanatic viewpoint, forgetting that there are huge numbers of us who are secular conservatives.

I agree that Hitchens is a brilliant writer and very conservative.

Just so you know. Many of us ‘atheists’—perhaps even most, don’t ‘hate’ God. We simply live our lives without the mythology. I always find that people who become violent towards non believers invariably have issues with their own faith.

There are three possibilities, and of course Dumbkins & Dumbchens have failed to consider the most obvious: The Queen will never allow it, as it would pit The Church of England against The Roman Catholic Church.

Thus Dawkins' trite, silly deviousness (which he appears to be more consumed by as he speedily ages) gets the worse possible outcome - a cursory smackdown from his Regent for playing games with the Crown versus The Church.

Well Stated.

IMHO, while Dawkins and Hitchins have displayed an ability to reason well in their past public arguments, their criticism of Christianity merely manifests a lack of virtue.

and when did this “brilliant professor” Richard Dawkins plan on arresting Islamic terrorists?

I get the impression that this guy doesn’t care about anything except his own ego.

"I find religion to be flawed and harmful."

The difficulty with your position is that of the possible choices, Christianity is the least "flawed and harmful". And most of that was due to kings and emperors using Christianity as an excuse to gather power to themselves.

Islam and atheism have already proven themselves to be worse. Far more misery and death have been accumulated under Islam and various flavors of socialism than under even the worst of the Inquisition (which history has proven was not nearly as horrendous as it was painted to be).

"Not sure what to make of that, but the Chinese crushed the Uigher Muslims earlier last year."

The Han flipped some ox carts, burned down some yurts, and assaulted the relics of a Medieval dynasty tribe. Wow. Yea, atheism doing some heavy lifting right there...

Dawkins is a great writer, good for him

Dawkins is an opportunistic, media whoring, pompous ass. That's the best that should ever be said about him.
