Richard Dawkins: I Will Arrest Pope Benedict XVI

April 11, 2010 Richard Dawkins: I Will Arrest Pope Benedict XVI Marc Horne

Atheist campaigner Richard Dawkins RICHARD DAWKINS, the atheist campaigner, is planning a legal ambush to have the Pope arrested during his state visit to Britain “for crimes against humanity”.

Dawkins and Christopher Hitchens, the atheist author, have asked human rights lawyers to produce a case for charging Pope Benedict XVI over his alleged cover-up of sexual abuse in the Catholic church.

The pair believe they can exploit the same legal principle used to arrest Augusto Pinochet, the late Chilean dictator, when he visited Britain in 1998.

The Pope was embroiled in new controversy this weekend over a letter he signed arguing that the “good of the universal church” should be considered against the defrocking of an American priest who committed sex offences against two boys. It was dated 1985, when he was in charge of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, which deals with sex abuse cases.

“As unspeakable as a pope ignoring complaints of sexual abuse by a priest? Gross.”

There’s lots of blame to go around here. After the spate of American diocesan incidents with preverted priests being ‘transferred’ around to terrorize another set of children elsewhere, if the Roman Catholic hierarchy hasn’t learned its lesson yet, this will surely teach them.

That said, the moronic Dawkins and Hitchens would do well to police their own atheistic ranks for child molesters and I’ll bet you a dime to a dollar that there are hundreds if not thousands of cases around the world of public school teacher atheists who have molested children in the past 100 years or so.

I call for the arrest of Dawkins and Hitchens for covering that up - and for crimes against humanity!

I am not interested in spamming you or anyone else.

All religions are not harmful. Hospitals, hospices, soup kitchens, shelters, orphanages, elderly care, leper colonies, homeless outreach, drug and and substance abuse care, prisoner aid, defense of the innocent, basic human rights, pro-life work, domestic violence shelters, homes for unwed mothers, abolitionists, adoption agencies -

all have a Christian history and/or are still maintained by “religions.” Usually Christian religion.

You may have a list of abuses by “religious” people, but as you know abusive “religious” are in fact in opposition to the actual doctrines taught by their churches. With the exception of Islam. If you conform to its actual doctrines you are of course abusive and murderous, and a good Muslim too.

Pontifical Councils for Culture and Inter-religious Dialogue..Jesus Christ the Bearer of the Water of Life, it says...

The New Age which is dawning will be peopled by perfect, androgynous beings who are totally in command of the cosmic laws of nature. In this scenario, Christianity has to be eliminated and give way to a global religion and a new world order.

Androgynous means to be of “indeterminate sex”, people who are bi-sexual, transsexual, or homosexual..

I don’t see the Pope supporting globalism here...

I can go to the Vatican site and look for encyclicals...I would like to have the one you are quoting from. Defend what you are saying or take it back.

Lord Haw-Haw running down the street screaming “Citizen’s arrest! Citizen’s arrest!!” on the Dicky Dawkins Comedy Hour. His picture in the paper looks like a decrepit Dorian Grey. (shudders)

......”I could never let the actions of criminals and idiots drive me away from Christ’s Church”.....

You might think differently if you had children abused in the one you were attending. I surely would get my kids out of there in a heart beat because Christ has many churches that are His and adhere to His plans. I would find as safe a place as I knew to be....at the very least.

We have a responsibility for our children beyond that of which church we attend. I might also say if it was a Protestant church I would also leave to protect my child...we do not sacrifice the safety of children on the alter of any church.

in the part 2 talk it was reconuted how Pope Paul 2 I beleive is the title died mysteriouly and than the next Pope was shot and now Pope Benedict XV seems to be very conservative and they want him out of the way.

There are a few wolves among the sheep in the vatican that was to take over so now it seems they are trying to do a scorched earth on Pope Benedict XV.

I have always has a fond spot for the Catholic church!

Martin talks about it after the intro a ways it is talked about

It’s gross how the clueless can’t understand how atheist Dawkins doesn’t give a rip about any, supposed or otherwise, victim of homosexuality and they are being played. Oh well, he needs suckers to survive.

Quix..you need to read more than conspiracy theories, a few headlines and misquotes. The encyclical I think you are referring to is Caritas in Veritate. Pope Benedict is giving a warning here throughout his encyclical. Will this new world order OPEN THE DOORS TO CHRIST or CLOSE THEM. Humanity is at a crossroad. He makes CLEAR distinction between unification of humanity and that of a “family of peoples” based on Christian ideal of charity lived in truth.
Simple unification is not enough. He is saying it could be a good movement if it echoes the mind of Christ expressed in the Gospels and Christ’s teachings. Pope Benedict clearly sees the one that is emerging is very evil. I hope this helps.

But then again Dawkins has higher ambitions like trying to convert Islam to believe in evolution:

As one can see from the newsarticle below, this is a stunt-statement by Dawkins and Hitchens to garner more cheap publicity for their books by taking a shot at the Pope. How else could they keep their names on the front pages?

Professor Richard Dawkins wants to convert Islamic world to evolution
Mark Henderson, Science Editor

The author of The God Delusion and The Selfish Gene, whose new book, The Greatest Show on Earth, is serialised in The Times next week, has topped bestseller lists all over the world but never in a predominantly Muslim country.

None of Professor Dawkins’ books, on evolution as well as religion, has ever been translated into Arabic, and his work has been heavily censored in Turkey. In an interview with The Times, he said that popularising evolution in the Islamic world, where creationist beliefs are strong, was a challenge he is keen to take up. “To be a bestseller in a Muslim country would be a personal triumph,” he said.

“I would like to see my books translated into Arabic. They haven’t been. They are all translated into Hebrew. Persian, I’m not sure. My books are translated into Turkish and they regularly get censored and suppressed.

“The experience of my Turkish publisher of The God Delusion was that he was threatened with arrest for blasphemy. He may even have been arrested, and my website has been banned in Turkey. I feel amused really. There’s something to be said for being suppressed, it makes people want to read you.”

While most non-fundamentalist Christian traditions have largely accepted evolution, Islam was still much more hostile, he said. “It’s the fact that Islam teaches the Koran is the literal word of God, unlike most Christian sects, which say the Bible is largely symbolic. That could well be the cause.”

Professor Dawkins added that Islamic influence is the likely explanation for the growing popularity of creationist beliefs in Britain, where a recent poll found that 30 per cent of teenagers accept the rebranded idea of “intelligent design”.

“I think that’s pretty clear,” he said. “I hear that from colleagues at the coalface of teaching. There has been a sharp upturn in hostility to teaching of evolution in the classroom and it’s mostly coming from Islamic students.

“It is nothing like as serious as it is in America, where the hostility comes from Christians, but the consequence can be very poor scientific education. When I go to schools, as I occasionally do, I do get depressed when I see children coming out as evolution deniers. I don’t think they would have 30 years ago.”

Professor Dawkins’ new book, The Greatest Show on Earth, brings together the scientific evidence that shows the theory of evolution to be true. He hopes to convince those who espouse creationism because they are ignorant of science.

“I suppose anybody who reads it should no longer be capable of thinking that the world is 6,000 years old, should no longer be capable of thinking evolution isn’t a fact,” he said. “I’d like to think there’s got to be something wrong with people who finish the book and don’t think that.”

Creationists, he said, were ignorant about evolution in the same sense in which he admits to being ignorant about football. “Ignorant is just a factual statement. I’m ignorant about football and all sorts of things. And I don’t think you’d take it as an insult if I said you seem to know anything about football. It’s actually just a factual statement, it means you don’t know anything about it.

“I know quite a lot about evolution, and there are plenty of people out there who know nothing about evolution and who probably would enjoy learning something about evolution. Perhaps they can teach me about football.”

I’ll do a bit of research on the man before seeing his videos. For me if an author or speaker conflicts with what God says I can generally tell right away...and if I question I talk with God about it and in time the answers do come...

There are many speakers who have their opinions on how this world will shape up....thank God He wrote us what we need to know and gave us faith to leave the rest in His hands.
