American Observer ^ | NA | NA

Posted on 04/11/2010 9:28:02 AM PDT by dvan

This map is not up to date but gives a pretty good 9or bad) picture of the state of the United States and the current recession and unemployment. Click Source URL and CLICK the map to play and to view the rates along the right side of your computer screen.

Why is Larry Kudlow so adamant that the economy is much better and telling his audience that the jobs situation is greatly improved?

And these counties are both low population and low unemployment because just about every household remaining there is on the land and largely self-supporting.

I think the self supporting types on the farms owe a bit to FARM SUBSIDIES. Lets see the map minus farm subsidies and see how it looks.

THey are going to need more colors. The colors stop at ten percent. To keep the graphic up to date and relevant, they will need at least two more colors.

Interesting to note that the job situation in Washington DC is a bright island in a sea of darkness.

Gubmint jobs anyone?

Note that the only area not changeing is the sparsely populated Great Plains. There were few jobs there to begin with.

The High Plains are not hospitable to corporate farming or subsidies harvest. Save your disdain for where it is due.

There is another aspect ot your observations, those who are self employed never show up on the unemployment rolls.

Even if they are ‘out of work’.

I saw that, too. I figure that the unemployment rate is zero because the population must be zero, too.

Not far off! Amidon, the county seat, has a population of 26. All of Slope County has 767 people.

I received an e-mail depicting the difference in Argentina in 1901 and now. The fall of that country is taking place here, now.
