I'll be more than happy to go to prison to fight for my freedom ( obamacare )
Tom Ashbrook - On Point Radio ^ | March 22nd | random caller

Posted on 04/11/2010 2:55:28 PM PDT by Halfmanhalfamazing

Caller: I'm very frustrated about what happened they didn't listen to the people at all.

I don't know if you happened to hear what Michelle Bachmann said about peacefully not complying with obamacare? I think that's going to be me.

I have read the bill and I know about the provisions that will throw me in prison and really I don't care. I'll be more than happy to go to prison to fight for my freedom.

Host: How do you see your freedom on the line here?

Caller: They are taking our money by fiat. They are taking our money and giving it to somebody else. I cannot pay my bills and I cannot feed myself and the people I need to take care of if it's taken from me by force.

Host: Do you mean in the mandate that everybody have health insurance?

Caller: Yes, that's the primary aspect of it as it sits right now, but that's not all the only aspect. This bill has hundreds of tax increases in it and it creates hundreds of new bureaucracies. It spends money that we don't frankly have and it's a threat to me and my family.

Host: Do you think you would have thought the same way about social security if you were on the whitehouse lawn in 1935?

Caller: I think I would have and given where social security is now with the.... what's the debt of social security? Isn't it like 25 trillion now? The people that said the things that they said about social security given the huge debt that it's in were correct. I saw a piece in USA Today about the combined debt of social security and medicare together is 60 trillion dollars.

With all due respect, Madam, if you were going to “die on your feet”, you’d have done it by now. Anyone who really believed in that “live free or die” stuff is already in jail or dead.

We also believe that a LOT, (if not the majority) of those who would be given the command to use their 30mm’s .. wont.

Tell it to the kids in Waco. OH WAIT THEY'RE ALL DEAD

There isn’t a person on this board worthy to carry Sam Adams’ jockstrap. What we have here is a crew of big talkers.

Being on this "board," you apparently don't realize you're speaking for yourself as well, here.

You don't give a whit about Sam Adams or any other Founder. You're a self-professed monarchist. They vehemently were not.

And you’ll do what? Willingly march into prison, let them take your home, seize your bank account and attach your paycheck/SS? Have you been recruited by the 0bama-Army or what? What happened?

Don’t drop the soap, my FRiend.

Thanks, bro. Two things that were said by men much smarter than I come to mind: 1) these are the times that try men's souls, and 2) we must stand together or we'll surely hang apart. Some on this thread don't seem to be willing to stand up for anything, so I guess it's up to you and I to defend them.

Well, I don't know about all that, but I'm stubborn as hell about some things. Not being punished for exercising my God-given rights for one.

First round at Fiddler's Green is on me.

I hear you B-Chan.

It is usually the same screen names that get into the fill em full of buck shot time for a civil war cry mode.

Kinda like the other ping list of Anti Catholics...

You know the ones that all of a sudden think the NY Times is gospel.

What country are you talking about? Cuba, Venezuela, China?

With all due respect to your posting, your not too familiar with many Americans. But I do admit that over my 7 decades freedom has eroded greatly. I grew up when this country was totally free. The government was not in our lamps, toilets, showers, not telling us where we could or could not build...What grass to cut and what was considered wetlands. Now anytime a dog pisses someone says it a wetland. But in the last 10 years I have seen many Americans start to wake up...Much of our problems we can thank republican presidents for...I think it was Nixon that installed the EPA, Bush 1 Americans with disabilities act and we have had legally blind people sue for jobs to be a bus driver...Bush 2 gave us Homeland Security, Carter gave us the Dept of Education. But I truly think many have finally said enough...I remember when there was no Fox, no Talk Radio and only 3 networks that lied then as much as they do now. Vietnam got us rid of Johnson and the War on poverty, we lost that one big time...He destroyed the black family structure in a way the KKK could only dream of...

If it comes to change I still hope its ballots and not bullets, but many are ready for bullets if necessary...It doesn't take the whole population to return us to freedom just those willing to fight the good fight if and when it comes to that....you can sit it out if you want if and when it comes...thats fine with me...

But many are willing to spill their blood if necessary. In life much is just a matter of the timing.

After Ruby Ridge and Waco, I said the government is dead. Using tanks on our citizens was horrific and its one of the things that started to open some eyes...

The Fed. Government may be dead mens bones, but the citizens aren't. It will only take one as yet unknown spark to start. There are some states starting to fight for state rights against this administration, its not much, but never been done before since the Civil War. As many say, the longest journey begins with just one step and then one foot in front of the other....Those that want to sit it out can...in American history only 1/3 of the population was for the revolution, 1/3 wanted to stay with the King and 1/3 didn't care either way....its the same today...

I’m not Jesus and you sure as hell aren’t. You always talk about our duty to God and Christ yet I’ve never seen you demonstrate any fruits of the spirit in any of your posts.

Don’t worry, you won’t need to go to prison and WILL comply with Obamacare. The IRS will have control of your bank account and you WILL pay. Guess we all will need to go to a cash and bartering system.

Keyboard Kommandos #20 <<<<

I admire your realism! Clattering keyboards will not stop the stormtroopers when they come knocking! We best take the country back now before we get to that point! November elections first then we will see which way things go!

Hyperboil and bluster are sometimes satisfing as a way to stem frustration but do little to stop a tyrant!

Cool heads and intelligent strategies are advisable.

I guess we’ll leave you to carry the jockstraps...

Since all of us are unworthy to do so...

1984 to 1986??? East coast or West coast???

Your “long story” link doesn’t work...I am very curious to know what that discharge story was all about...

Yer still typing...Or do they have free internet in the pokey there???

Yes, I am giving you a hard time...I do that from time to time, and reserve my digs for those special folks who go a little overboard when addressing other peoples patriotism and commitment to preserving this Republic...

Sure, some of that can be questioned, but is it really something you want to make an issue of??? Publically???

So, I am absolutely sure you’ll have something to say here, because I understand it will be difficult for you not to do so...

Show us some wisdom, and try to not “ready, fire, aim” this time...
