Congratulations Phil Mickelson, Good Guy Wins Augusta

What a great story when everybody is fawning all over the Tiger story, the real husband wins one for his sick wife. You couldn't script this one in a Disney movie when the rival who is always runner up pulls one out for his wife and mother who both are fighting cancer.

Perhaps his wife's battle with cancer puts things like golf tournaments into perpective. He certainly didn't have his usual battle with nerves.

Congratualtions Phil, you make us all proud.

Pray for Amy and Mary Mickelson

All of us were sitting around the television with tears streaming down our cheeks for Phil and his wife. It was a terrific win and we all pray for his wife’s battle with cancer.

That was a great final nine holes. I was rooting for him and am happy he won.

Did you see that putt (I forget the hole) where he was putting, looked like it was going straight in and then a little stick fell on its path, slowed it down and diverted it and caused him to miss it? That was unreal!

No one deserves to win more than Phil Mickelson. He is an inspiration for this win in the light of his family’s adversity this year. Tiger Woods is irrelevant (though someone needs to tell CBS that.)

How could you not when he hugged his wife and he had a tear. what a powerful moment in Augusta history. While Tiger was battling his demons, Phil was watching his wife battle Cancer. Phil was the real hero in this whole story.

Prayers for Amy and Mary

Tiger rates about as high, to me, as Billy Jeff Clintoon.

I hope he gets all he justly deserves.

A wonderful and decent (read good person) golfer wins the Masters for the third time! Am just happy for him and his wife (Sure hope she completely recovers).. He is one of the few decent gentlemanly golfers left on the tour. As to the leading golfer - you mean scumbag Woods - I wish he would either just go away or be saved - my gosh, Buddhism? He has little chance...

Phil played better than I’ve ever seen anyone play.

You know, the reason is that he did not take the awful chances he use to take when behind! He played conservatively for a change and won handily!

He is one of the few decent gentlemanly golfers left on the tour.

Maybe your personal life doesn't matter in other sports (golf is the only sport I know where you call a penalty on yourself)..but as a "gentleman's game" if you are a sex-crazed douch with no character it should matter.

It’s heartwarming when a good man overcomes a sleazy one.

My best friend just found that her breast cancer has spread through her body, this after just finishing her second round of chemo last year. It is indeed a horrible disease and I pray for anyone fighting it.

Tiger rates about as high, to me, as Billy Jeff Clintoon.

Both are scum, but Clinton is, at least in public, slightly more polite scum. Woods has no class at all. I caught his brief interview at the end of the tournament. Instead of expressing gratitude to the fools who were cheering for him at Augusta, he was rude and obnoxious as he whined about not winning.

Exactly, how can you not like Freddy? Phil is a Cinderella story. His Courage was amazing.

Pray for Amy
