Ben, those of us that know that you supported Al Franken verbally as well as financially, didn’t see or buy your movie and wish you would stop being ‘on our side’...

We are not fooled.

He (Steele) didn't. That is the problem. Stein is an empty-headed blowhard, but a blind squirrel gets a nut from time to time.

I was just thinking it strange that a flaming NE moderate RINO would be sniping at Steele. The Contrarian in me says we better keep him then.

And what exactly would you have him do? I am happy with a do nothing ride along chairman ... Just stay out of the serious stuff.

It’s far easier, far less trouble, to just pick, adopt and support your own candidates than it is to donate to the RNC Scozzafava style candidates. Or Crist even, the RNC preferred Senator.

Yep, I’m always suspicious of “Republicans” who trash Republicans on TV and in print...and somehow never find a bad word for Obama.

Sounds like the “maverick” to me.

“Now, it is clear just how ill-advised a choice he was. Stories are pouring out of the RNC to the effect that Mr. Steele is demanding the Committee get him a private jet, which is a heck of a big bite. (I don’t have one!) In the meantime, he rents one fairly often.

Mr. Steele is running up fantastic tabs at super-expensive hotels and restaurants, including some near me in Beverly Hills. Just recently it was revealed that the RNC had been billed nearly two thousand bucks for “entertainment” at a West Hollywood strip club called Voyeur. “

Steele is doing the usual Obama lifestyle - only it’s at the expense of the RNC. People don’t want to get rid of him because of his skin color.

How about someone who states a set of core Conservative principles and unites the party under them? Who makes it clear that the “big tent” is NOT one that accepts illegal aliens, baby-killers, large government backers and antisemetics.

Rather the “big tent” is anyone of any and every race, creed, color, sex, etc. who believes in personal responsibility, support for the Constitution, preserves the sanctity of life and limits government to only that which it can do.

How about THAT for starters?

Or is that asking too much for the Chair of the GOP?

You can have Steele if that is your cup of tea. He gave us obama, obamacare and will give us obama II and obamanesty.

Somebody gave my Mom a copy of Stein’s movie. She asked me if I would like to see it. I told her that Ben supported Franken.

She tossed it in the trash.

Where it belongs.

Ben wants our money for his movie and sends money and support to Franken.

I. Don’t. Think. So.

Don’t get me wrong, while an early supporter, I am one no more. I just accept reality for what it is, if we want it done, we will have to do it, forever. Plain would be nice, but I doubt the good old boys in the golf rotation would go for that — Do you think they would?

Yes, what you state, that would be good — but the likelihood of any leadership republican doing that, spouting Core Conservative values, while increasing slightly, is still very very low ... We still have a ways to go to get them trained and back on the reservation.

I would be satisfied if he would keep RNC people from the porn clubs :-}

I am afraid for the near term we are stuck with what we have, the heavy lifting will have to be done by the people. Sad, but it’s reality, best we just deal with it for now ... Right?

We seem to be doing all right, would you have thought the RNC would have put money on Scott Brown to win? Not likely.

No- all of these rino albatrosses need to stay.

We need examples of what we’re trying to wash out of the GOP, even all the debauched FL ones.

Grassroots, once perfected in a year or so, needs the contrast of RNC sluts to demonstrate what we wanted and accomplished.

We can prove who we ARE by keeping in the RNC that which we AREN’T, until we can bum rush them and take back over.

Michael S. drove a big money fundraiser away. Sam Fox.

Sam is a guy who expects fiscal responsibility. The RNC under steele could not deliver this. Steele is a nice guy but we are play a game to win.

I see your invective encompasses the ever-incisive “I am rubber you are glue” argumentation paradigm.

I think that was used in the famous Skorsky-Halvolev debate of 1907, wherein I believe the judges awarded Havolev the win for his now famous and forensically unassailable response of the “raspberry.”

In his day, Gingrich didn’t give in to such political nihilism.

Of course, it is clear that today Gingrich is senile, given his actions in NY 23.

But back when, he knew what to do. So do most Conservatives and a few Conservative politicians.

The press beat poor Newt into submission. But back then we did not have the offensive weapon of the Internet to get our truth out, or defend Newt.

Now things are different.

The press didn’t beat Newt into supporting Scatchafratablast in NY 23.

But we need a new Contract With America. One that promises rewards for work and incentives for all to be productive and happy and to move their lives forward towards and in the American Dream.

Steele doesn’t even hint that is possible.

And Stein is just a shill for wherever his last dime came from.

You are right about current day Newt, but the press mercilessly beat him up with lies and half truths, when he was speaker, he never recovered. That is what I meant.

But Newt was forced to stand alone, since there was little we could do to break through the media wall. But I am afraid Newt is gone for good, after his speakership died. As a Conservative policy wonk, Newt excelled.

One of the big lies told about the 1994 elections was the contract did something. It did not. If it did, then why was BJ Clinton quoted in the media as having said the AW ban cost him 60 House seats? I was there, I worked the trenches, made the ads, it was all guns all the time that did the trick in 1994. The contract came late, and was focused on after the election as a governing document. No one hardly knew what the Contract with America was until the elections were over. It was then that it severed as a governing document.

One fear I have is the contract, like with a tea party leader, would become nothing more than a leftist flack target. It’s reverence for America, and Constitutional principles which unites the tea party people, why do we need anything else?

It’s grass roots passion that wins elections, a contract that mirrors the current level and issues may help, but it was passion that won in Massachusetts, and that same passion will win in November.

He was tough SOB and did what he had to do. And, yes, he was left hanging since Conservatives and the GOP didn’t realize what a leftist attack dog the MSM had become, with no counterbalance.

I agree. I was shocked when he supported Franken. So much for thinking that he was smart enough to know better.

Never support or vote for a Dumocrat....no matter what, and even if it is at the lowest local level..... even if it’s your parent, child, spouse, or friend. The party as a whole is a disgrace, and if anyone claims to be a Democrat, they might as well print the word STUPID on their forehead....because that is what they are. BIG TIME!
