SCOTLAND YARD has bowed to Islamic sensitivities and accepted that Muslims are entitled to throw shoes in ritual protest — which could have the unintended consequence of politicians or the police being hit.
News of the concession by the Metropolitan police has come to light amid a series of trials of more than 70 mostly Muslim demonstrators who were charged with violent disorder after last year’s Gaza protests outside the Israeli embassy in London.
Aquib Salim, 21, an IT student at Queen Mary, London University, who was involved in a shoe-throwing incident, is almost certain to avoid a prison sentence as a result.
Chris Holt, Salim’s solicitor, said he was likely to get a suspended sentence after he pleaded guilty to a single charge of throwing a stick at police lines.
“The court accepted that the earlier shoe-throwing incident was simply a ritual form of protest and therefore not a criminal act of violence,” Holt said.
Beheading is also ritualistic for some of them, right?

Why doesn’t Britain just declare itself as part of the caliphate and be done with it? Why pretend to be something they aren’t?
What a bunch of cowards, and I am referring to the British cops/politicians on this one. No balls whatsoever, and this type of tolerance represents a failure of their responsibility to protect the public.
If someone, Muslim or not, throws something at me or my family I’m going to curb kick his or her teeth out, and that is only if I feel charitable. That applies to people thinking it is ok to throw a pie in someone’s face or a shoe at someone’s head or any other weapon.
Just surround them and sprinkle tacks on the ground after they throw shoes.
It is only a small step from shoes to lit sticks of dynamite.
And say, don’t they already put explosives in their shoes? Pretty close to being a grenade.
It’s beyond parody now, isn’t it?
I would think so. I’m of Finnish ancestry and it is our ethnic tradition to throw them at those trying to take over our country.
Britain would be a lot better off if it had lost WWII.
I seriously expect *legal* beheadings of non-Muslims in Britain, by Muslims, by August. I do not even slightly joke.
