As someone who who has spent a lifetime dealing with a malignant narcissist, I might to able to explain why a narcissist would desire to present such a grand display of false humility. A narcissist lives in a fantasy land of his own creation. He believes in his heart of heart that he is superior to all other lesser beings in his kingdom. His displays of generosity and humility are meant to deceive, control and impress others. The common means for a narcissist to receive a narcissist fix is to deceive those around him.
My narcissist often proclaims, “The trick's the thing,” then punctuates her comment with self-satisfied raucous laughter. Barack Obama pleasures in deceiving the masses with his artful performance of false humility and graciousness. As with all malignant narcissists, The trick IS the thing.

Perhaps Goodluck Jonathan was in town to offer ZERO a
one-time deal to help a Nigerian Prince get his fortune in
gold out of Nigeria and all ZERO has to do in return is turn
over America's money. That would certainly explain the
