Good thing we are building nuclear plants like crazy and drilling for our own oil....oh wait...

Well I’m sure a handful of noisy Windmills that have to be repaired every year will help a little.

Peak oil is an artificial construct...

We dont even know how much oil there is..

The problem is the choking off of production and refining capacity...

Which is a direct result of liberal activity...

Libs WANT peak oil...they WANT 9 bucks a gallon like the UK...

They DONT want you to have the means of independant travel...

Yep. Crim hits the nail right on the head.

They want energy costs to go through the roof, it will destroy our energy consuming society, and the enviroweenies and liberals will have the third world USA they want.

Of course, they don't know what that means, and will likely cry louder and longer than everyone else when the $hit hits the fan.

"But...but...we didn't know our economy would collapse, there would be no internet to surf, and we wouldn't even have jobs to get food! We just thought the evil conservatives would stop raping the planet...not all this other stuff! I can't even run my laptop now without one of those pedal-generators..."

I’m sure a handful of noisy Windmills that have to be repaired every year will help a little

But with no oil how will we be able to fix them when they squeak? Horrors!

It’s about Peak CHEAP Oil.

But, point taken. The military must know something.
Wonder why this was in a foreign newspaper?

If there is a shortage, the military gets first dibs on the petro-fuels.

Check into the price of donkeys.

Maybe they figure people don’t want to buy oil coming from irradiated wells. That’s a little overstated, but the only thing that would cause a significant drop in just five years would be a political or military action.

If we don’t even know how much oil there is, how do we know there is no peak?

Saying it ain’t so doesn’t make it go away. I think it’s like drinking from an opaque cup through a straw. Until you hear the gurgling you just don’t know. So it could be two years, 10 years, or 6 months. But all the evidence points to a decline. Just look at Texas, there are lots of oil fields that just dried up - it happens and eventually it will happen on a broad scale. When it does, you will know chaos like you never dreamed of chaos. The world runs on oil.

If you look at the statistics published by the oil companies it becomes clear that the amount of money spent on exploration is growing, while the amount of oil recovered is declining. These are publicly available - no conspiracy theorizing required.

Our best hope is coal - it can be turned into liquid fuel at a cost.

Becuase we find new deposits ALL the time....and we have hardly explored 1/4, 3/4ths being under water...of the earth...

The problem isnt the amount of known deposits...it’s the fact that we arent ALLOWED to develope them...

And yes...The US has MORE oil than anyone else on the globe...

Check it out..

http://www.americanfreepress.net/html/biggest_oil_reserves_182.html

That ole “the us has only 1% of the worlds oil” is pure BS...a lib talking point...

Peak oil is an artificial construct.

no...actually it’s like drinking from a cup of koolaid...

There is no such thing as peak oil...

New deposits are found all the time...

4 newly discovered oil deposits just in the last 4 months...plenty more, I stop here for brevity...

And new technology developes to FIND it too...

http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2009/02/090226110812.htm

Peak oil is as valid a theory as man made global warming....

Bunk.

The problem is production...and the reason is liberals.

Drill here...drill YESTERDAY.
