According to Fox News, Maine is considering banning the little boys, little girls rooms, boys vs girls locker rooms, boys and girls sports teams, etc. Reason: Sexual discrimination.

I'm sorry folks, but the people running our government are full blooming idiots!

Vote thm ALL out!!

I wonder if we have reached that point in our nations history such that ordinary political means will no longer work?

I assume you're thinking it's more OK at the younger ages. But that is when we are still being formed, and our cultural mores are being implanted. Modesty and of course the difference between the sexes is a big part of natural sexuality.

These people want to totally destroy natural sexuality. This is not sexualizing the children, it is desexualizing them. Same with promiscuity and pornography. Read George Gilder's Sexual Suicide, an old book that was spot-on then and still is now.

Many places I have been have a men’s, woman’s, and single occupancy unisex bathroom that parents can use if they are with their kids.

Haven’t seen anything on the Bangordaily news. They’re probably going to slip this through...

It is stunning how far we have fallen from the moral electorate required of a free Constitutional Republic.

Dr. Franklin asked if “we can keep it”. The question is being answered.

An immoral people can’t keep their liberty and don’t deserve to in any case.

I remember the first time I heard the term “culture war”. It was said by Charleton Heston when he was NRA President. This culture war has never been as desperate as it is today.

For a few months now, I have no liberal friends. We are in a great culture war for all the marbles now. It is freedom vs tyranny. Property, responsibility, life, opportunity vs communism.

I have no liberal friends. They are now traitors to the cause of liberty. We are in a significant culture war for all the marbles. We have to find a way to win.

Exactly. On our way to full blown communism, our first stop is France. They want to make us just like France in the short term, where egalite is everything and liberte is nothing, because we trade away all our liberte in our jealous quest for egalite.

You pretty much nailed it.

This has been going on my entire life, which is since the 1950s. The people demand equal outcome and we are heading toward the equal suffering which the idiot masses are clamoring for. Of course, this will be the equal suffering of socialism/communism.

You nailed it.

"Well, the transgendered “thing” (have no idea if it was a man or woman or both or neither) being interviewed on FOX News said it would be “gender discrimination” to force boys to use boys bathrooms and girls to use girls bathrooms. What if the little boy thought he should’ve been born a little girl, etc."

The only way to respond to such lunacy is to treat it as such. Any time the leftist crazies can drag you down into a discussion, framed with terms they have created (such as "gender discrimination"), in which they relentlessly demand that you justify your moral positions, they have won. This is why they frame the marriage debate as a question of "fairness." The proper response to that one is that homosexual "marriage" is just plain wrong and is an attempt to redefine a universally recognized institution.

We must stop apologizing for our positions on moral issues, and must not allow ourselves to be dragged down into the PC mud. What the left fails to comprehend is that some things are WRONG, period. No further dissection of why they are wrong is necessary nor is it productive. If the typical five-year-old knows that two men "marrying" each other is wrong, or that it is wrong for little boys and girls to be forced to use the same restroom facilities, then none of us should waste our time replying to leftist demands to explain why these things are wrong.

That's their favorite tactic. You're opposed to "gay marriage" - Why? You're opposed to unisex restrooms - Why? Why, why, why? They want to take every moral concept that is self-evident and make you question it and force you to have to justify it. Don't take the bait.

The only proper response to such stupidity is ridicule and scorn. They want to portray themselves as representing the mainstream, but they are actually the EXTREME lunatic fringe. Treat them as such and move on. And do this with the rest of the PC litany of nonsense, as well. We must reverse the semi-respectability that these crazy ideas are gaining by immediately dismissing them as immoral nuttiness every time they are raised. If enough people consistently do this, rather than allowing themselves to be guilted into discussing the alleged merits of said nutty ideas, then it might just begin to rub off on the rest of our fellow citizens.

The big bull dyke chicks will now be able to kick a little guy’s ass in the bathroom. The height of humiliation!

If a woman wants to hear and smell what emanates from the stalls of a male public bathroom she’s someone I don’t want to be around.

ANOTHER REASON TO HOMESCHOOL

This ping list is for the “other” articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. This can occasionally be a fairly high volume list. Articles pinged to the Another Reason to Homeschool List will be given the keyword of ARTH. (If I remember. If I forget, please feel free to add it yourself)

The main Homeschool Ping List handles the homeschool-specific articles. Metmom holds both the Homeschool Ping List and the Another Reason to Homeschool Ping list. Please freepmail Metmom if you would like to be added to or removed from either list, or both.

Not to be crass but most men wouldn’t want to see most women undress in public. Most people, men included, look better with clothes.
