Auburn (NY) Teacher Arrested For Stealing School Lunches

A teacher at Genesee Elementary School in Auburn has been arrested for stealing lunch money.
Police say 37-year-old Alan Robinson of Ithaca, a third-grade teacher at Genesee, used children's subsidized school lunch cards to buy himself lunch, and then never repaid the students. Robinson would have kids bring their own lunch to school, and then use their personal ID numbers to buy himself lunch.
According to a state database, Robinson's salary is $50,000 a year. The investigation began after a parent saw suspicious charges on her bill. Robinson has been charged with three counts of petit larceny and three counts of endangering the welfare of a child, all misdemeanors. More charges are possible, police say.
No word on whether Robinson may be suspended from teaching. Robinson was released on an appearance ticket, and will be in Auburn City Court this morning.

This creep makes 50-grand a year, and he has to steal kids' lunches? Not only should he be keelhauled for stealing from kids, but for squandering a 50-grand a year job with so many people out of work...AND OVER THE PRICE OF LUNCH.

Reactivate Alcatraz and put every liberal leader there for life. Sure it would be a tight fit for a while but normal people wouldn’t care. String closed circuit pay per view of them turning on each other to help fund it.

I don’t think this was a “public option” per se. Parents can set up a pre-paid account (or tied to a credit card) and the kids can scan when they buy a lunch. This bozo was probably getting a “free lunch” thinking the parents weren’t paying attention to the invoices. On our kid’s accounts, I would always find mischarges because they can key in an account number as well as swipe a card. The cafeteria workers were too lazy to look the right kid’s number up and just used one they remembered - sometimes ours.
