McCain went on to discuss border concerns, expressing his frustration regarding the recent death of Douglas area rancher Robert Krentz, who authorities suspect was killed by drug smugglers.
“The border is not secure and there is an increase in border violence. There have been more than 14,000 people killed in Mexico in the past few years. These include government officials, police and three Americans,” he explained.
McCain’s believes a physical fence is what is needed, not the virtual fence with surveillance UAV’s (unmanned aerial vehicles) that he believes are ineffective.
“The bad news is that the government has contracted with Boeing to build this virtual fence and it is a $100 million failure. A physical fence is less expensive and more effective,” stated McCain.
The senator acknowledges that there are jobs that Americans simply won’t do, and supports the idea of implementing a temporary worker program. This would allow businesses to first advertise agricultural jobs to American citizens, but if no one takes the jobs, they can be offered to workers from across the border. Those workers would be allowed a work visa for up to one year and after that one year, would have to return to their country and wait for a year before being issued another visa. Employers attempting to keep a visa worker longer than the visa allows would be prosecuted.

There are 9000 Americans murdered by illegal immigrants every year in the USA. McCain.
I was at a private meeting (precinct people) with Juan two weeks ago and I made him literally say, “NO AMNESTY” and I made him say it twice!
He is so scared. We’re working on getting him to debate with JD next month as JD is coming to Mohave County. He said he would debate JD anytime, anywhere and JD is calling him on it. I’ll keep you posted. Should be interesting.

McCain has definitely flip-flopped on this issue and people have every right to call him out but I don’t think there’s any place for posts like yours.
McCain is a shameless liar. He has been one of the greatest opponents of protecting the border. He and Dubya were the same as Obama when it came to opposing the border fence and in trying to grant amnesty to illegal aliens. Immigration RINOs like McCain are why California moved from being a state that elected Ronald Reagan into being a state that is a bedrock of support for leftist Democrats. The conservative American population of California was replaced by a foreign populace that wants all the “free” government programs that it can get.
