Sarah may well have just thrown herself on a political grenade to save John McCain's seat, and the fallout for her probably isn't going to be pretty.

I must agree with you. I have written a few articles about my support for the barracuda from Alaska. It has been my opinion that Sarah is the saving grace the republican party could hang onto for coattails that would inevitably bring Obama and the democrats down completely in 2012.

Now I must retract my support, at least until I see what plays out. As for now however, I do agree with you. She is allowing her political career to be sabotaged over her feeling of duty and loyalty to McCain. He gave her exposure and she has taken off like a rocket, but her feeling of loyalty could very well prove to be the worse political move she could have made.

Among other blunders she seems to be making that have left me scratching my head over, she has also began to chum up with Romney. I am not a huge Romney fan.

Certainly "loyalty to McCain because he made her" is one possibility and the one most often used to describe her behavior.

But there is another possibility that has nothing to do with loyalty but rather that she is helping John McCain because he is the most powerful Republican in the Party. In other words she's kissing the GOP Don's ring in the hopes of future favors in return. This would explain a lot more of her behavior over the last few months-- donating to Graham and Hatch, supporting Steele, supporting McCain over Hayworth and cozying up to Mitt Romney -- than just "loyalty to McCain" would.

We all want to think of candidates as "belonging to us", but the fact is (especially on a national level) the candidates have to make their bones with the Party machine first, often doing all kinds of distasteful things that no one else wants to do. Only when they get to McCain's level do they get to do whatever they want. But until then, they follow orders, and Sarah following orders would mean that she is no exception.

I don't claim to have a crystal ball, but my guess is that the latter scenario is far more likely than the "it's just her loyalty to McCain because he made her" description.

Listen up all fellow ARIZONANS. Opportunities to defeat those who mismanage our trust seldom occur. This is a once in a decade or two where we have a real chance for our collective voices to be heard.

The opportunity to being some sanity to national government is NOW. The time is near, send $$$ to JD, give of your time and effort. Your level of commitment MUST be high, together we can defeat McCain.

Let's roll!!!!!

Palin lost a little credibility with me supporting McCain in this one.

Just got of the phone with David Schwerkert, the leading Republican candidate in Harry Mitchell's district. I believe he can beat Mitchell. And, as a bonus, he is
v e r y conservative.

Giffords has three excellent conservative candidates running in the primary.

As a matter of fact, the pubbies have serious candidates running in all 8 congressional districts.

We need to get rid of McCain one and for all. He is an embarrassment to Arizonans. JD is the man, a few also rans that should get out of the senate race.

LOL. Thank you-—but you still don’t get a commission. BTW, looks like I’ll be solo on Glenn Beck on June 1 to talk about the new book.

"JD is a blowhard whose stupid antics lost a safe Republican seat."

He also joined in support of the Bush spending spree.

“She is not doing daily radio ads for McCain. She taped one or two, and McLame is spending like a drunken sailor trying to stop the bleeding.”

You don’t do daily Ads. You do one or two and those same Ads are played over and over again, day after day. Put your thinking cap on. It’s easy to figure out.

That was the very point I was making.

Read carefully who you are replying to and what point they are making. This site makes me tired sometimes because people write things in the snarliest, most insulting way, and in a way I cannot imagine they ever world if they were face-to-face.

“J.D. is so far better than McQueeg it isn’t funny. And I seem to remember a few other Republicans losing “safe” seats, including about three here in OH.”

And I would not support them for the Senate either. If a Republican incumbent loses a safe Rep. district this is a bad reflection on their competence.

I have no idea what McCain’s talking points are. My comments are based on seeing JD Hayworth interviewed.

Any Republican would have been an underdog against Obama. Totally different from Hayworth the incumbent losing his Republican congressional seat.
